Default Other Skin

Good afternoon.
There is some way that when we create a new track, instead of taking the default one. You can choose another, without having to go to the menus.
Is there some code in Walter, or Script.

Or you have to specify that skin as default.

Thanks.

When you say "track" are you referring to the TCP or the media item waveforms?

I'm going to assume you're referring to the TCP.
When you 1st load a theme, it will load the default TCP. That is set within the Walter code of what the default is defined as, where you would need to alter the Walter code to change that behavior.

However with no Walter code editing, you can select a default TCP layout within a project by going to the menu OPTIONS>LAYOUTS>TRACK PANEL and select your TCP of choice. Then when you Insert a new track, the new track will use that layout option you selected. There will now be a check next to it in those menus indicating this is now your selected default TCP.

If you are right clicking on a TCP and selecting TRACK LAYOUT>TRACK PANEL then selecting a different TCP layout, you are only changing the TCPs you have selected and not changing the preference TCP layout setting. Therefore, when you select insert new track, that preference setting has not been adjusted. So maybe this is what you are doing?

It does get somewhat confusing since Reaper has so many options of configuration.

If you're referring to the media item waveforms, then you can disregard my tips.
