Default Co27 updated. Sugestions? Advice?

I'm re-doing some of my first theme. What do you think so far?

I hope that no one gets bothered because I didn't use every shade of purple available or because there is no faux-gold, faux-wood or heart-shaped faders, etc...

Hey there!

My reactions so far as follows:

POSITIVES - many! In particular - clear buttons and icons, clear easy to read fonts, good contrasts between text an backgrounds.

NEGATIVE - just one. Don't like the purplish VU meters. Just my opinion of course, but not sure that the green media peaks and purple VU meters sit comfortably together.

Keep it up!

Love the big buttons at the top

Love the small track faders and pan.

Colour theme is great

Record button is great.

Icons are brilliant (fx, automation, m, s...)

I think the purple VUs are cool, maybe a bit dark down the bottom, so hard to perceive low levels (important).

I don't like the outline around the transport controls. Maybe make them lighter with a drop shadow/embossing???

All text being white could look messy with a big mix. Often themes look fine at 1024x768, but lots of people like me work on dual 1680x1050 and all this high contrast can be a bit of a maze on a large scale with 50+ tracks.

Not sure how well it tints when you colour tracks. Again it's easy to make a little screen shot with nice even colour but it's hard to stylistically balance the look of a complex mix on a large scale with heaps of track colouring.

Ok, that's my vibe. It's great, I wouldn't comment if it wasn't.

Cheers,

I love this one. I have my top 5 color themes I like to use, this one is in my top 3. My workstaion is quite small, and I record acoustic guitar from 8 feet away from my 21 inch computer screen. This theme is good when I am that far away to see it. Although it is darker than some, it is very clean and clear. I see no reason to improve on it, but sure it will turn out even nicer if so.

Good job!

Default Transport Needs Work

It's got a lot of potential, but the meters need to fit (color-wise) better with the media and the transport is a bit ugly in my eyes. Otherwise nice...I look the new tcp thumbs!
