Yeah, the vixie theme is awesome. I've modified it 100 times, but I always go back to the original vixie theme.
I CANNOT WAIT for the new vixie theme.

put it in the themepack too
How many satisfied users does it take for a theme to get into the 'themepack' on the reaper.fm download page? Does valle have to ask for it? Do we start a petition. The vixie skin should be there for all new users, it's like a real quiet achiever...
Regards
Hamish

You know when themes were first introduced and the initial flurry subsided I stopped checking after I found one I liked.
Then along came Vixie! It is the easiest on my eyes and a joy to use. Looking forward to V2. and I agree this deserves to be in the pack; if not the default skin.

Valle, I like this theme a lot and am using it now. The one thing I'd change about it (if I knew how to do such a thing!) would be to make the text on the mixer and tracks slightly larger. With my resolution of 1600x1200 it's a little hard to see such a small text.
I think it's otherwise very pleasing on the eyes. Thanks for your contribution!

Lot of Love for Vixie here ! Maybe not the coolest, but the least fatiguing theme for sure. It's fast to spot the right buttons without thinking.. it's my default together with WT's default-lighter. oh!..and it's CRT compatible (had to use my old monitor yesterday... ouch!)
...for what I can see from the preview, in v2 buttons' font is getting less "cartoonish"...that's cool and more "pro" looking, but I feel like the bold style of v1 button's helped a lot with higher monitor's resolution..
Thanks a lot Valle !

Every time I think I've settled on a theme I come across a thread with another corker in it!
Nice.

Is your site down for good?
I've been trying to check out your web site for awhile now, but it always says it is temp down. What's up? Let me know, let us all know...oh and don't forget the theme. No matter what theme I try, I always come back to yours, it's incredible. Just grand!

(This thread is started by antiClick. But I guess you're referring to my website and my theme — or else this reply will come out quite peculiar )
Hopefully, “Vixie 2” will be available for download sometime next week. Thanks for keeping the theme alive!
Re: my website... I took it down in November 2007 due to changes in my business (Production/Management). And the changes are still in the process, so to speak. But it'll be back up. Although, you may not get much out of it, since 99% of the content is written in Swedish...

Good points!
Choosing the "right font" for especially buttons has been a tough part when making the theme. While font (type and size) for track/mixer titles and labels can be changed, the fonts in buttons cannot since they're part of the image. The latter is understandably an issue when working with higher resolutions...
Although, the (button) font in the final version will differ a bit from what can be seen in the "preview" — to the better, of course. But higher resolutions will still be an issue, I'm afraid.
For Worn: You can easily change the font type/size for titles/labels:
Options -> Preferences... -> Appearance/Color Theme

Yes...that is what I was referring to...
About your website Valle. I like your work a lot, so I wanted to check it out. If need be, I'll translate Swedish into English, well maybe not. I'm so happy that the new theme should be avail next week.

Wow, its amazing
how this thread just keeps popping up and getting longer and longer
Great comments there too... I don't care if it looks pro or not, but it's great that others care, and give valle a heads up, and usable feedback. Only (?) more sleeps until vixie plain v2.0
