Reaper changes, where are they stored?

When i make changes like new commands, or change in preferences etc

where are all of this stored?

because i end up losing it all...................no idea how

is there a specific file where these changes are stored?

if i know where its stored i might start saving that exact file somewhere to keep it

They are in several files stored in your Reaper resource path (off the Options menu)

Have a look at "Export configuration" in the Preferences, too.

Action shortcuts/menus/etc are stored in reaper-kb.ini in the resource folder.
Current preference settings (ie the mundane stuff like how you left the window sets positioned, etc) are in the normal user account Preferences folder in com.cockos.reaper.plist.

these are the folders you are referring to as i understand??! but i don't think i can find them yet :X Thanks serr!

Quickest way to access the resource folder is usually via Options > Show REAPER resource path in explorer/finder

There are basically two options to backup these files:

• Exporting the entire config via Preferences > General > Export configuration (to a .ReaperConfigZip file) : https://www.reaper.fm/videos.php#HB4C3njFxRg
• Making a copy of the entire resource folder manually
