Default New Tune - Freya!

Hello,

I recorded this track during Storm Freya (very metal) hence the name. Ususally I record bit by bit adding tracks until Im happy. This time I knew exactly what I wanted for each track so recorded six whole guitar tracks, two wah lead tracks and bass.

The idea was to record too much material then remove the bits I didnt want, thinking it might make mixing easier and get the track finished faster.

Well I can report that it didnt take away the pain of mixing, or take any less time or make the process any easier. Experiment failed but I liked how th tune turned out eventually.

Anyway hope you like the track feedback always appreciated Thanks!

Like it!

Could use a little more in the low end. Maybe because I like heavy bass tones

In what way?

What are you uploading, WAV or MP3 or something else?

I upload 24 bit WAV's to SoundCloud and let them do the conversion to 128kbps MP3.

Also, when I master I generally do not peak above -1.0dB

I've been uploading MP3 320 kbps, and go for max level without peaking as my final masters seem quiet compared to similar stuff on soundcloud. Might give wav upload a go or pay more attention to the mixing and mastering process

Original Track is still there:

Anybody notice a difference in sound quality? Or is it back to the mix?

Thanks!
