Great job, thanks. It would ne so nice more color options for track & mixer narrow and normal. Especially purple, orange. I love this theme. Elegant, eye friendly.

Janne, the V2 version of this theme is nearly perfect for me. I just wonder at your choice of not allowing track panel colours to show through to the whole panel for each track. This would be incredibly useful for me in particular, and I know a couple of others have asked about this too.

Would it be possible for an option for this to be added? Or is there a way for me to implement this myself in the theme editor?

Beautiful theme.

Does it work well on v4.78?

Thanks.

Question for Janne (or anyone else who knows themes)

When I right-click on a blank part of the transport bar, there is an option to
"center transport controls". I assume this would place the transport controls in the middle of the transport bar?

But selecting this option does nothing.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Wow, thank you so much, Janne! Fabulous work as always!
I wonder if, in future, there would be a TCP layout with a Volume knob instead of a fader (like in your JanneUniverse theme).
Because tend to need label, volume, Pan, FX, M, S in the first row of elements

This is connected with the new transparency options in V5- you would have to change the transparency of mcp/tcp bg pngs.

My choice for this 2 themes was to use only color strips because if find it more clear to use.

I would have to incorporate this in new layouts, which wouldnt be possible because there is a certain limit for the number of layouts in a theme.

It turns into a knob at smaller sizes.
I had to make a logical choice regarding the number of layouts because things can get quite bogged fast.

Janne, thanks for the reply. I'm happy to delve in and change this. Where would I locate these files within the theme itself?

Open the ReaperThemezip file (you can doing directly with 7zip) of the theme and locate mcp_bg.png, mcp_bgsel.png, tcp_bg.png, tcp_bgsel.png (mcp for the mixer, tcp for the track control area)- observe how I reduced the transpareny of the bottom part of the image where the numbers and names go. You should do the same for the rest part of the image- just be very careful with the pink lines- leave them intact- they serve proper resizing.

If youll have trouble let me know and Ill try to help.

I managed to puzzle it out, but thank you for the directions!

The one thing I'm now stuck on is how to re-pack the file as a .reaperthemezip file. Is it simply a case of renaming the extension?

EDIT:

Ha! Seems I'm not as clever as I thought. Managed to save it as a .reaperthemezip file, then when I loaded the theme it looked like an explosion in a rainbow factory. Maybe I'm not cut out for this! >_<

When you unpack your theme you get a folder with images and a .reapetheme file. Make sure both are included in the repacking.

As for repacking just use regular zip and rename the file extension to .ReaperThemeZip

Very nice theme. Loving it!

Like many, I've become a fan of background tinted tracks in the mixer, so if someone comes up with an alternate version of this theme that includes background tinting of the whole track as a layout option, please consider uploading to the stash. Thanks!

If I ever find time to dig in and learn this stuff, I'll do the same.

This looks really nice.

My favourite theme has been "2014 4611" and I love it. Is there anything I am missing if I stick with that theme using it in Reaper 5? So far, it works just the same in V5 as in V4 so no problems, at least.

I will be trying the new theme but I am reluctant to change unless necessary.

Great! I just tested it. But unfortunately the volume knob isn't in the first row then. Did you imply WT's flow principle in your theme as well? So I could easily adjust the element's positions by myself

Elements are fixed and dissapear with smaller width, no flow code. I personlly like to have elements always on the same position- the default v5 theme is nice but this flow makes it to confusing for me.

I too, like the default V5 panel tinting and would love this to be an option... No pressure, you've already given us so much of your time and talents!

Thank you Janne,

Universe2014 v114 is still my go to, it does not distract from anything.
Like how this looks except for the bright arrange area, will edit that and see if this theme will replace Universe2014.
Anyway, great work!

These are very nice Janne thanks for the work!

My goto theme right now is your JanneUniverse 2014_v114 where I replaced the blue meter strips with green/yellow/red gradient meter strips from another theme.

I also allow the TCP and MCP panels to use the background color on the full strip, just to make it easier to navigate since I use a consistent color scheme in my workflow. "Tint track color background" is ON in my Preferences.

Is it possible to replace the meter strips in these ?

What about allowing the full background colors ?

Thank you!

I really love several parts of this theme and I would like to use it but I desperately need a MCP layout similar to the Big Meter layouts that would have the track name, large meter and the interface input large and visible. Everything else is optional for me personally. I need this for tracking full live bands so I can quickly monitor levels. If you could add that, this theme would be amazing. I love how the TCP hides the input channel based on the Record Arm being set. Genius.

I used Calibri (bold) font that is included in any windows version.

You can change the meters here also without any problem.

Ill try to release an alternative versions with completely colored bgs- I cannot combine them into the existing ones- too many layouts.

Thank you very much Janne. Universe 2014 Light has been my default for some time now, and I've always found your themes to be the bee's knees for when I want to buckle down and get serious work done. There's a lot of great themes available, but I've never seen any that pack so much information and functionality into small amounts of screen real estate so efficiently as yours.

Ive added 2 additional themes in the v102 of the pack. The ColorEd versions include full color tinting for the TCP and MCP.

Also added a Tracking meter layout
