Default Inexpensive video editing program

I need inexpensive video editing program with some tutorials concerning usage. Would you recommend any? I looked through some and they seem unworthy to me. Waiting for your ideas.

Upd. Today I came upon a video-making software https://wave.video. This obviously what I need.

reaper can edit video. Might be all you need, it is for me

Someone will surely suggest DaVinci Resolve, but you need a beast of a computer and the audio editing is horrible compared to reaper.

I was going to suggest DaVinci. It's quite powerful, so there is a bit of a learning curve. That said, I've had great results with it so far. It's easy to use once you know how it works.

I recommend trying it out.

There are three YT channels that will pretty much reduce that curve - Davinci's audio editing is horrid and you need 4GB video card at minimum... but I will never want my video editor and audio editor as the same app to begin with because one or the other will always suffer comparatively - case in point Reaper and Davinci.

You can do a decent amount in Reaper, so it's worth a try for that and I would not recommend Davinci for super simple stuff as that would be overkill; but... there is almost nothing I can do in Reaper Video wise that I can't do better and faster in Davinci.

I tried daVInci but my video card was too weak. OpenShot saved the day for me.

For basic video needs, OpenShot should be fine. I occasionally still use Windows Movie Maker for the quick one-off. I can't deal with lack of advanced color correction et al though once it becomes more of a real production.

Off topic: Lately I've been streaming live 4K video from my Sony A6400 into my computer via USB capture card to OBS > file while recording the audio in reaper. What's also cool about that is I can also stream the video along with the reaper "mix" to YouTube.

Shotcut does the basic stuff fine, and it's completely Open Source.

Davinci is the one I like the most.
Hitfilm is also very good (but more designed toward compositing, so some basic editing stuff is somewhat "hidden" among ofther compositing features).
Both are very powerful, and require a learning curve, but it's much rewarding once you're used to their respective workflow.

Openshot and Shotcut also do the job. They have less features, they don't look as polished, but they are fine.

You may try also KdEnlive, which requires very little computer power (both cpu and ram).
Some people enjoy VSDC as well.

And please dont suggest gopro unless you know where I could buy one in the UK for pocket change!

Phone is the easiest and cheapest if you have one.
It's the only way I've done a couple of videos.
