Default Trimming tracks

Hi there again

i've spent a couple of weeks editing a song and I've decided the first 30 seconds or so must go.

is there a way i can trim all of the tracks at once and drag the remaining portion of the tracks back to the begining of the timeline?

I'm having sufficient trouble trying to cut the first 30 seconds of each and track and then dragging pieces of each track back, one item at a time.

I Think you can group the tracks, make the split, delete the part you don't want and drag everything in unison back to the beginning.

Make a time selection for what you want to keep , right click and select crop project to selection. That's it.

Default editing middle section of a song

I've decided now that I want to remove about 15 seconds of instrumental during the first break.

How do I remove a section of a song and bring everything behind it up in the time line?

There's an action "Remove content of time selection (moving later items)",
make a time selection and run it.

Default trimming

I know I did this before, but I've forgotten how to trim off the dead space at the end of track.

seems like this should be pretty simple but I'm not seeing it.

In case I'm not understood, I recorded 3 takes consecutive with out stopping record and now I just want the middle or second take.

thanks- rick

Just so you know there is a preference to change this behaviour so that a modifier key allows either relative adjustment so that items of different lengths keep that relative difference or so that when you adjust one item the items on the other tracks won't change unless the item your moving get's to be the same length (as it's end is adjusted past it).

Forget the name though but search for relative in the find function of preferences.
