Reaper Shortcut for "No"
Is there any REAPER keyboard shortcut for the "No" button response in various REAPER windows?

Alt + N (this is Windows global dialogue window response)
Mac probably Option N but I'm not sure

Best solution in MacOS I've found is Tab, then Space. Space triggers the button that is highlighted around the edge, while Enter will trigger the fully highlighted button.

Simple answer is no.
On all platforms reliably only clickable per mouse, on some y and n might work but not on all dialogs.

It works for me, no problem. Tabbing doesn't change what option is highlighted for you? And spacebar doesn't do anything or what?

No. Tabbing does nothing on the Mac in REAPER. Please show me.

Sure. This is me tabbing through the options of a save prompt and pressing space to choose "No".
You can also select "Cancel" with Cmd + "." and "Don't Save" (if the button literally says that) with Cmd + D, I found out. But anything else it seems you need to use tab and space.

It depends on which dialog you are all referring to. Not all work the same on their technical basis and differ in details.
So it works on some and some other don't.
So we could try to make a list of dialogs who don't so the devs can improve on that.

How about the Close Project (ID 40860) command for example?

And, FYI, I have yet to find ANY REAPER dialogue containing the "No" button in which the "No" can be activated by ANY keystroke on the Mac.

What version of MacOS is that? Did you have to set any special setting first to get the tabbing to work?
And yes, I also discovered Cmd-D, Cmd-., and ESC usually works for Cancel buttons.
But nothing for the No button.

Aha, just discovered Mac OS setting that enables the tabbing:
System Preferences => Accessibility => Keyboard => Hardware => Keyboard Preferences => Shortcuts => Keyboard => Full Keyboard Access => All controls Not the most obvious one (and not the normal default setup)!
But that still doesn't solve the question of a single keystroke for "No" which absolutely should be standard.

Hence I was talking about dialogs, not yes/no-dialogs in particular. To signal that some of you could refer to different types of dialogs, which seems to be the case, explaining the different experiences with dialogs in this thread.
Btw, you don't need to lecture me with bold words. Thanks.

yes this bothers me as well. Many other app on mac you can use the CMD+D for don't save but in reaper you just can't which makes it quite bothering especially as when you open the first project it always ask if you want to save the default one (even if you didn't change anything)
a shortcut would be great for saying no

This! I wish there was a way to disable it.
