Can't access "media item bottom half" mouse modifier if track is too small

If the track size is lowered enough you lose the ability to access the mouse modifier for the bottom half of the media item.

Set a default action for left drag bottom half of media item and lower track size, once the track gets small enough (not even min size) you can only left drag with the top half media item action.

Is there any progress on this? Even just changing the cursor when hovering over the bottom half could sort this out?

+1, this would be a great thing to fix. The default "small" track size is already too small for the bottom half, as well.
