Default Audio Assault StandAlones / Lubuntu

So ...

The VST / LV2 plugins work as they should .
But I can't launch the StandAlone - apps .
Double Clicking the desktop icons / apps does nothing .

Thank You ...

ASAP,
BOne .

just find the directory where the plugin is installed. By default in / opt / Audio Assault / plugin_name. Open the terminal and from this location just drag the file to the terminal. press Enter.

studio@Asus-Note-Book:/opt/Audio Assault$ /opt/Audio Assault/Duality Bass Studio

pressed enter ...

bash: /opt/Audio: No such file or directory
studio@Asus-Note-Book:/opt/Audio Assault$

You can't have spaces in file names on the command line. Either enclose the whole file path in quotes or escape them by adding a backslash before every space in the file path.

Edit: also, that path in your post looks like it's maybe just to the folder? You have to point to the actual binary file inside the folder (assuming that's where it's installed). You could also try browsing to that location with whatever file manager you use and see if you can find the actual binary and start it from the file browser.

Edit 2: I also don't have Duality myself, so I don't actually know what the binary is called and what the default path to it is...

you must use "./Duality Bass Studio" if you are in directory.

I managed to launch the Duality - App, with the following command

studio@Asus-Note-Book:/opt$ "Audio Assault/Duality Bass Studio"

edit .

this "./Duality Bass Studio" did the trick likewise .

Now ... How can I make a launcher for the app on the desktop, etc .

I tried creating one, using the command-line command as a custom command .

All's I get's this ;

Invalid desktop entry file: '/home/studio/Desktop/Duality.desktop'

I'm not very familiar with .desktop files, but it should probably contain an "Exec=" line with the full path to the Duality stand-alone binary (i.e. something like Exec=/opt/Audio Assault/Duality Bass Studio).

Can you post the contents of your .desktop file?
