Any chance for a lower contrast version? I really like the looks, but the contrast is killing me...

Maybe it's your monitor settings.

No no I mean: look e.g. at the frames / drop shadows of the knobs. They're 3D beyond reality.
Or the upper area of an MCP track: on top the (dark) i/o panel, then a light grey frame, then the (dark) pan panel, another frame, then a black track name field. While it looks appealing here in a forum post, it's totally uneasy for my eyes when in use.
But maybe I just shouldn't use it then

I definitively prefer the layout of 1 (less wasted space), but I'm not 100% whether I'd prefer the darker VU markers of 1 or the brighter ones of 2. Do you have a picture of 1 with some signal on a VU meter?
BTW: what's the slider below the track name? Width?
Just an idea: have you considered moving the track name to the top? That way pan and width will be together and the track name is a bit easier to spot.
Also, it's a bit weird that the automation mode sits right next to the pan control as they are not related. Maybe they should be separated visually a bit.
Here's a mock-up of both suggestions:

I like Mixer 1.
Maybe the trackname should be placed at the buttom of channel

This theme looks very good, congratulation.
THere is a nice work with lights and shadows to give some 3d rendering without being too much "eye candy esque".

Nice theme, really! Congrats!
One little thing though:
wouldn't it be even better to add a bit more color saturation to the mute and solo buttons when pressed/ lit.
Right now it's like the buttons don't stand out enough... in my opinion...
I think it would be helpful to get some quick information about what's goin' on ...
Or is it just me?
Ok. ok, I'm honest, I just wanna be one of those "credits-guys"

I agree with you, man. However, I'd prefer having the track name lower- directly above the SOLO and MUTE controls. It just feels quicker to me... i.e. TRACK NAME ---> SOLO/MUTE/FADER... that immediacy really helps me when sorting through a complex mix. The pan and width, IMO, can be quite secondary and can work above the track name. The automation mode, IMO, can be grouped along with the record mode, input fx, input group. Also, I think the buttons on these group can be smaller and less prominent. As it is, they outweigh the SOLO and MUTE visually.
In fact, I think the main Track Name can be placed at the bottom area of the mixer panel with the track number right beside it. Then right below that and the bottom-most element, would be the level readout (as per the versions shown above).
Albertxxx, what do you think about making the width slider a smaller knob right beside the pan where the automation mode currently is? I must admit the small slider for the width is quite nice visually; however for me, it eats up too much space and ends up being quite prominent for a control that is very specialized. (I havent used it...ever)
Just my two cents. The theme is looking awesome. :-)

I like mixer 2
I am liking Mixer two.
I am liking the high contrast....you will too when your eyes get old and tired as are mine. contrast good!
The contrast helps the read ability for me... also the bigger fonts etc....
Now my only suggestion would be to lighten the Track area a bit more so there is more contrast between the media data and the background. which helps seeing the grid lines.....and for me it helps line up my audio when I need to adjust my sloppy playing...
Other wise I love it.....looks to be a winner...
keep it up
thank you
Clifford

Thanks for this theme. I love the overall look. Very nice.
One question, I can't seem to find the 'clickable icon for folder tracks' in the MCP. Is it there or am I just blind?
Thanks again for this unique theme.

Beautiful work, albertxxxx.
The contrast does fatigue the eyes a bit though. Mine anyway.
The main mixer background is (IMO) a little too light against the other colors around it.
But great "remixing" work.

Visible Track Selection
Here is my personal mod of albert's previous version of this theme. I modded it to get more visibility of the selected track/s. Just an idea in case anyone is having that same problem I had with selected track visibility.

This looks like a cool theme but it looks fuzzy to me like my glasses are dirty. I guess I just prefer a more crisp look.

Pretty much everything. I'm not a graphics guy but I think it is anti aliasing techniques where the edges are softened. That's something that makes me feel like I can't focus on the screen.

AWESOME
Congrats and thank you albertxxx! Many many many thanks for the time you put into this.
I will be waiting intently for the different layouts and will be having a blast customizing v2.
I don't know how you did it or if its just placebo, but the "fuzziness" Mod Bob was talking about seems to have improved.
I am simply loving the mixer. It feels so fast and easy.
