Default Help with pass through - mute in midi editor window

SOLVED!

Hi, not sure how to set up pass through for muting?

I use command M for muting on edit window items, and would also like the same for midi editor notes (decades of ProTools habits).
Currently when the midi window is open, Command M mutes whatever is selected in the main edit window < not what I want.

How do I set up this mute command to only mute notes in the midi editor when that window is open, and be able to use it for selected items when midi editor screen is closed?

You could try a custom action and map it to Alt-M in main actions

SWS/SN: Focus MIDI editor
Item properties: Toggle items/tracks mute (depending on focus)

This would focus the midi editor only if it's open.

I think ?

It passes mute through automatically with the same settings.
Here I was thinking I needed some tricky pass through setting....
