Default Help! Installed PT9wALTERED theme.. now reaper screwed up even uninstall

So I went and installed the theme PT9wALTERED.zip

I followed the instruction. Didn't like it. I did an export of all setting. Now even through an install, uninstall 2x and delete all files... Reaper is screwed up in weird ways GUI wise and menu...

How the heck can I get it back to normal?

Nevermind. Found factory reset in start menu. Nice they provided it there. Good thing I had saved my configurations.

Just wanted a floating mixer window. Oh well. Solved

Right click in an empty area of the mixer and untick "dock mixer in docker"
Now you have a floating mixer window.

Cheers

Someone ought to put a warning on that theme. It seems to eat someones Reaper installation on a regular basis.

well more kindly... the creator of that theme did a remarkable job for the time of trying to make reaper look and behave more like PT...

but now PT has changed and so has Reaper...

so hey PT guys, why not just bite the bullet and learn Reaper in one of it's more 'native' themes?

Once you bother to set up your views and controls and floating toolbars to your taste... you might just wonder why you struggled with PT for so long.

Thanks Hopi ...

It amazes me when members have trouble getting REAPER back to default.

Either load a default config file, or go via the start button/"reset defaults" ... both actually different versions of the same method, both should be very easy to accomplish for anyone who frequents the pre-release forum where ptwaltered resides

Anyway, the theme is slightly buggered.
But it's just the toolbar icons need to be updated (to accomodate the more recently added toolbar_blank and overlays etc) and a couple of things on the mcp IIRC.

I'm not inclined to do these ATM, but the theme is there for anyone who wants some PT action in REAPER and doesn't feel like starting from scratch.
Its about 95% complete ... doing that last 5% requires only very basic walter knowledge.

First, I'm on a mac... so I don't have the "Start" menu option.
Also, loading my Configfile that I use to config Reaper the way I want on every system I go, doesn't put the Menus back to normal... so, I have pretty much everything ok, BUT the menus and toolbars.
Any ideas?

Search for any files named "reaper-menu" ... and delete them.
If 2 or 3 instances show up, delete all of them.

It will be recreated next time you launch REAPER, as default.

This is how it works on PC ... let me know how you go

What I did was delete everything from the Reaper source folder... it works fine...
Thanks!
