Default Items color setting similar to pro tools dark mode/ peaks item following track colors

Hi everyone,

is there any way to achieve the item-color-setting similar pro tools dark mode? In PT The items background is much darker while the peaks are much more brighter following the TCP colors.

Here an example:

Setting the "media item background fill mode" in overlay modus i can achieve a similar result, but the peaks doesn't follow the track color.

Please apologize my english and thanks for helping out.

It depends on the age of the theme you are using.

An explanation of custom colouring for themers is HERE.

That is a 'version 5' (for coloring) theme, as defined in the link above, and it has been set up to intentionally not do what you are asking. You can change that.

Read this sticky to learn how to unpack a theme, and find its rtconfig.txt file. In that file, right near the top you'll see the line
Code:
'tinttcp 1834'
change that to
Code:
'tinttcp 0'
then save the file and refresh the theme.

Thank You a lot white Tie, i'll will try out the link.

I'm doing some theme adjustment only for my self, try to understand what works best for me and learning a bit more about theme development. I'm not intending to upload any of my customization on stash. I really appreciate the works the community is doing and i'll keep going to support it.

Hallo White Tie, changing this value works well, but the track colors an the items background totally greyed. I guess this is not as simple as thought right?
