Center selected media item in view vertically ?
Has anyone every figured out a way to center a selected media item in the view vertically ?
no likey.........
Track: Vertical scroll selected tracks into view
This action scrolls the item "into" the view but doesn't center it vertically and I can't find any code that works better either. Thanks for any ideas.

Part of the problem with that action, and anything similar I gather, is that if the selected track is high enough in the list, that track simply can't scroll down to center of view. That because track 1 will anchor the view from top to center. Or is the problem something else?

Actually all tracks are off even ones at the bottom where there is plenty of room to scroll up. Oh well.

Ok. I've tried it here, but all the tracks that can do it seem to center fine, pretty much exactly in vertical center of arrange. Applies with different docker arrangements and multiple selected tracks too.

Ha, well, that's a good question. To be sure we are talking about the same thing, could you maybe post a picture or two with the issue visible?

Thanks for testing this. The problem is as you mentioned. When I select items up higher they scroll no problem but when I pick items at the bottom of the list there is not enough below them to scroll. If I take a track below them and make it big, then it works. Maybe I'll hack something to get the next track, make it huge, then center my media item and then resize it back. Thanks!

I spent the last hour trying to hack a way to simply CENTER the selected track in the middle of the screen but no luck. Anyone out there able to achieve this feat of seeming impossibility ? It's tracks at the bottom of the screen that fail. Like track 45 where there are no more media items below it.

I don't see how that would work, if you have minimized tracks there's no way to center items on the "edges" without adding some space to the beginning or end (top or bottom) and that just doesn't make any sense.
just for selected media items, I use double left click on media item to make it full screen (toggles). not sure if that helps you or not, but in a way it doesn't get any more centered than that right?

not at the studio right now to look. The context should be media items. I think it overrides a default action for double click media item.
