i just downloaded the build from the link wavetrans posted:
https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.ph...postcount=5832
i put that in the plugins folder of the 64 bit installation
and it worked
at the moment i use the mapping in the attachment of this post
as a template for my own mapping:
https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.ph...postcount=5832
this mapping did not worked with the 32bit build out of the stash

Yes, it did
You said redistributable VS2019 v142 is required so I googled, found
and downloaded "vc_redist.x64.exe" from this link,
https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/...al-c-downloads and installed it. (see post #5853)
Then I copied the build from 02012020 (20200102) into the plugins folder and CSI appeared in the control surface mode menu again.
Meanwhile I managed to resolve some Zone file issues and Tracks work fine again.
Switching between sends does not work.
And as I understood your last post, FXmenu can´t work with a one channel surface yet.

i will follow the changes in the synta xof the surface and zone files
until you reached the final version, then i know what to do with every controller ;-)
reaper is my favourite daw, i like the behringer hardware,
and the possibility of custom mappings is worth it!

Thanks, everything looks fine, could you do one more dance with the dialogs ?
New special build is up with dialogs indicating Zone processing.

New builds are up for both eucon and CSI.
@RobinGShore -- I went back and copied your .zon file contents to my system and BAMM -- thank for pointing out a bug in the new parsing Bug fixed, but that .zon file doesn't work, please use the one in the latest build and let me know if there are problems -- thanks

Sounds like things are back on track now that the missing CSI issue (download the runtime) and crashing Eucon are resolved. Any other changes in terms of feature additions, .zon syntax, etc. we should know about or you want us testing? Or just some code cleanup as part of the troubleshooting of the last few builds?

Just waiting for confirmation on Mac eucon, but, yes, a bit of cleanup, then onward, which will mean more features for you to play with (and maybe break )

Sorry, to bother again, but Sends don´t work as they did on the IconNano.
Only first Send and no switching between sends.
I wonder what´s causing this?
I use the sends zone from the re-worked mcu.zon

Hello everybody!
Anyone have any suggestion how to represent channels on a controller that has moving faders but no display.
The easiest way I could figure is to move in fixed banks of 24. This way the Reaper tracks can be scribbled down on pen and paper tape on the console itself. However that doesn't work because CSI will attribute the last track in reaper to the last fader on the controller ALLWAYS.

Not sure if this might help you out but the EuCon build works a little differently at the moment. You tell CSI how many Eucon faders you want (a maximum number), regardless of how many you'll use in your project. So you say "I want 48 faders" and that's what you get. So if you only had 9 tracks, you'd get a bank of 8, and a bank of 1, followed by 39 empty faders. Not sure if that approach could benefit your situation, but it's something CSI is already doing elsewhere.
The other kind of "how can we workaround an issue like that" thing I can think of is this: would you be able to create some spare tracks with nothing on them, and set them in a way that they serve as a visual anchor. Example: 2 tracks at the end of the project with their faders all the way down. This way, those two are always your last track and serve as a visual reference as to where the project ends. Or maybe you keep a whole empty bank of 8 at the end (hide them in the MCP/TCP). This way, the last track where the fader isn't at bare minimum is the last track of your project and you can quickly find it.

Success!!! No more crash! That said none of my tracks in Reaper are appearing in Eucon. Scribble strips are blank, and faders, knobs, solo, and mutes don't do anything. If I go into the assign tab in the Eucontrol settings the track list is empty if I try to lock a track to a fader (the only options I'm seeing in the dropdowns are auto-assigned, attentioned track, and blank strip).
Soft key assignments are working though, and if I run the no-op action in Reaper I can see stuff in the console output when I move the faders, so there is definitely communication happening between Reaper and Eucon.

That might be a known issue. With Reaper closed, try double clicking a Reaper project from your file explorer. Does that solve it?

Ok was worth a shot. The last CSI+Eucon build I tried wouldn't work if a blank Reaper project was loaded, then you opened a project. But if you opened Reaper by double clicking a project file, Eucon would would work. At least the crashes have stopped and CSI is receiving input from the device.

Fantastic news !!
Yeah, there are handshaking issues to work out, but the fact that you can see input from Eucon tells us we are there, just have to iron out some config stuff.
Thanks again for all the testing effort !!

hey guys hoping i can get your help.trying to set up CSI .im using an icon Pro X.i got a hold of poetnprophets mst and zon file on the forum here as he also uses a Prox but it doesnt seem to be working.what i did was this...
i downloaded his files off the forum into my documents. i opened them up one at a time.the widget file i opened it up and saved it as an mst file then dragged it into the CSI/surfaces/midi folder .then i opened up his zon file and saved it as a zon file then dragged that intoCSI/Zones/Qconprox folder(put it inside included Qconprox folder) .then went through the set up in reaper/preferences/control surfaces and nothing.i know i have it right because if i use the included MCU zon file and it works.my surface responds.using the poetnprophets zon file that i got gives me nothing.did i do something wrong in the way i tryed to use his files ?? im new to this but determined.i hoped i explained all that understandably. thanks and appreciate any advice

If I understood correctly, there is now more than one .zon file in the Qconprox folder?
If that is the case, try renaming or deleting the one you don´t need.

Those files might be too old, could you please post the contents of CSI.ini, .mst and .zon files, and we'll see what you have.

Deleting is the answer.
Any files regardless of name get picked up from the Zone folder you specify, every one of them.
This includes ALL subfolders too -- there is a reason for this.
It allows you to organize your plugins in any way you wish -- subfolders by manufacturer -- subfolders by FX type -- combo of preceding -- etc.
So, the lesson is -- don't make subfolders inside your specified Zone folder named "unused" -- they will most definitely be used

The syntax used in that .zon file is dated and no longer valid. So first thing's first, the file needs to be updated for use with the newer versions of CSI. Geoff will probably help with this, or you can look at recent .zon files paying attention to to the quotation marks around zone names, and when 1-8 is used in zone files.
Once you have an updated .zon file, you'll want to put it in the zones folder for that device. If there's another .zon file there for that device, you'll probably have to get rid of it and move it somewhere else entirely (but it can't be in a sub-folder of the zone folder because CSI will still read it).

Here are my latest files, let me know if they are helpful.
Note this is for the new firmware. So you'll see F1-F8 for the F buttons plus F1L2 etc for the 2nd layer added in the new firmware. Also there are 5 "blank" buttons that are defined.
also note that there are several custom actions referenced, so if some stuff isn't working you'll have to go through everything. I forget now, but I think I have a lot of them, haha. Just ask me anything

Are you running one of the more recent CSI's since the syntax changed? If so, I think you might want to double check that syntax. Particularly pay attention to where 1) quotation marks , 2) pipe characters, and 3) 1-8 characters are used in Geoff's recently cleaned up .zon files and where they're not. I looked at your .zon and it didn't line up with the mcu.zon in my current CSI folder.
Here's the MCU.zon from one of the more recent CSI builds (unless the syntax has changed again in the last week). I tried to highlight areas where I think there's a difference in bold...

Yes, everyone please standardize on this new syntax, even though others may work they will be wasteful.

Warning
Upcoming breaking change:
Code:
Page "HomePage" FollowMCP NoSynchPages UseScrollLink NoTrackColoring 39 255 45
EuConSurface "EuCon" 1 16 "EuCon" NoZoneLink 8 16
becomes
Code:
Page "HomePage" FollowMCP NoSynchPages UseScrollLink NoTrackColoring { 39 255 45 }
EuConSurface "EuCon" 1 16 "EuCon" NoZoneLink 8 16
This will be required in the next build, as we begin to add proper support for colour.

haven't quite kept up actually. I'm not sure which is my last CSI update, probably at least 2 weeks ago if not more.
that's the only thing bad thing about this, you're either totally up to date and still figuring it out, or you're set up good but out of date with everyone else. I'm all setup perfectly and have been for quite a while, so some of my stuff might not be 100% up to date, use at your own risk.

The changes aren't huge so when it comes time to update, it's just changing a few characters in some spots.
Cragster, if you look at my post, you should be able to make the changes yourself if you just follow the same conventions of where quotes, pipes, and 1-8's go. Compare to the mcu.zon and just make your file look similar.
