PING, PING, PING!!
A quick tip, before I have to leave: there are dump-actions meanwhile that can export the actionlist as txt-file including the ID.
Search for "Dump".
Maybe this makes it a little easier for you to continue? I would appreciate that!

Can please someone have a look at the CC Lanes context?
When rightclicking and choosing a Controller under "Lane" the chosen controller number is offset by -1.
Or am I missing something?
Thanks, Peter

Hey everyone,
Peter contacted me a few weeks ago to the fix for this issue, and I was too busy to get to it. But I've recently updated the download for the CC lane fix. Please download the updated version.
Thanks to Peter and to all you very patient users!

Actually, Peter was nice enough to correct a few more mistakes in ReaMenus. (Mostly removing actions that no longer exist).
Download it in my sig.
Thanks again, Peter!

Hey all,
some additions to what Mike already wrote:
I added Preview, Notation-mode and some SubProject things.
This is a WIP, not a final version. The reason I did this is that I actually translate the ReaMenus to german and therefore had a closer look at it.
But it is a little bit more "up to date" now.
I recommend to select "Include default menu as submenu" when importing the ReaMenus.
Have fun!
Btw, I made a UserDefinedLanguage for Notepad++ for the ReaMenus, if anyone wants to use it, it's in the stash.
It looks like this: Screenshot
Cheers,
Peter

Thanks for all the good work and sharing it!
One of the first things I did when I switched to REAPER was customizing menus and organizing everything in a more human-readable and minimal way, and it really improved my user experience. ReaMenu seems to be a quite exhaustive work, and I'll definitely take some elements from it.
Certainly not meaning to hijack this great thread, but I just wanted to share my minimalistic take on menus here: http://tinyurl.com/can-rea-menu-set

Great news, everyone! Pet and I have put together a fantastic new release of ReaMenus v5.31. Peter did 99% the work, and I'm very, very grateful for him to have stepped up to help keep ReaMenus alive.
Download the new menus here, and check out the changes:
- Removed ALL of dead actions from the menus.
- Renamed numerous changed actions to better fit their current implementation.
- Replaced some silly actions with more useful alternatives.
- Added a handful of actions created during the last few release cycles.
Thank you all for your support, and please give Peter a warm round of applause.

You can just right-click and click "Save as..." See the instructions in the first post of this thread for more info.

Hi all, the list above in post #946 is only a summary of what I have changed in v5.01.
Mike made some more changes for v5.31:
ADDED:
[Empty TCP context]- Track envelopes... (ID: 41975)
[MIDI main contents], [MIDI main menu context]- Display only next MIDI item on this track (ID: 40798)
- Display only previous MIDI item on this track (ID: 40797)
[MIDI main options], [MIDI main menu context]
Options=>Notes=> - Display note names for active media item only (ID: 40956)
[MIDI main menu context], [MIDI main view]
CCLANES=>View=>Visibility - Remove selected duplicate events (ID: 40404)
- Show used cc lanes (ID: _FNG_ME_SHOW_USED_CC_LANES)
CHANGED:
[Empty TCP context], [Main track], [Track control panel context]- Insert prefix to track labels (ID: _XENAKIOS_INSTRACKLABPREF)
- Insert suffix to track labels (ID: _XENAKIOS_INSTRACKLABSUFF)
replaced with: - ID: _SWSCONSOLEPREFIX
- ID: _SWSCONSOLESUFFIX
We found an action that opens the ReaConsole with the wanted prefix/suffix option directly rather than opening "Command parameters" window. That gave you an error if there was no prefix/suffix defined yet.
REMOVED:- Toggle selected tracks to height A/B (ID: _XENAK_TOGGLETRACKHEIAB)
---------------------------
SOMETHING MORE:
Mike mentioned several times that he can not continue with the ReaMenus and would be happy if someone else would take over. Now that I'm involved in that topic, I offer to do that, especially the editing and uploading part.
I know REAPER for about 5 years and made it my daily DAW about 2 years ago, but I make music with several DAWs since c-labs notator.
As you see, I'm not the most experienced REAPER user of all times but I know what it is all about...mostly.
English is not my first language and when it comes to very detailed tech talk, it may become difficult for me to understand right. But I have some cool translation websites bookmarked in my browser...
And the ReaMenus have always been a community project, so I think it should be possible.
And this is where I have some questions:- Do you want the ReaMenus to keep going?
- If yes, how should we proceed? For example start a new thread, that would make it possible to use the stash.
- If yes, what suggestions do you have?
- If NO, DON'T USE IT!
Cheers,
Peter

Hey all -
I am new to Reaper and just figuring this stuff out. I followed the directions on how to download and install ReaMenues 5.31 ( I right clicked on the file and saved to my desktop, exported the factory settings...) But I can not select the ReMenus 5.31.ReaperMenuSet from within Reaper.
I'm on a Mac, so is this a windows only extension?
Thanks

You need to "import" ReaMenus from the Menus/Toolbars dialog window. Then you'll be able to select it.

Yeah, that's what I tried and I can't select the file. I right clicked on the file and saved to my desktop. When to import it in, and it won't select. It did and .txt extension, so I took that off and still, no go. I will investigate further when I have time.
Thanks for your help.

.ReaperMenuSet is the extension. That's what you should save it as.

Hmmm. That's what I did - deleted the .txt extension and again, can't select it when trying to import. I am obviously doing something wrong. Once I have more time I will investigate. I am sure it is nothing on your end.
Thanks for your help.

In Midi editor Event List, right click, Insert Event, just show the "Bank/Program Select" window. I think the right window should be "Add event".

Here you go:
1) Right mouseclick the file, from which you deleted the .txt extension, and choose "Get Info"
2) In the "Name and Extension" field, delete the .txt extension.
3) In the popup window you get, choose "Use .ReaperMenuSet"
Voila.

Thank you for taking over this project Peter, ReaMenus is something I find incredibly useful so am very happy to see it continue.
If a new thread would make it easier to track and install updates, I'm all for it.
Cheers,
Jennifer

Hi endorka,
the situation at the moment is this: I can't edit the link in the first post so the first idea was to open a new thread for uploading and so on.
I talked about that with Mike via E-Mail and he suggested to keep this thread, but contact cockos to give me the possibility to make changes to the 1st post, but I have not done that yet. (I'll do it right after I'm finished with this post )
I contacted Mike a few times during the translation process, to tell him what I found, then he changed that in GitHub and adapted the link. This is not comfortable at all and I feel like nerving Mike (though he is very friendly and helpful and was the one who encouraged me to make more here).
What teniente powell mentioned in his post #954 above is not ignored, but I do not know if and how often Mike monitors this thread.
Stay tuned, I'll report!
Peter

I love ReaMenus. Would be a shame to see it discontinued as it's a 100% improvement on the built-in menus, which are sorely in need of an overhaul. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cockos do that in 6.0.

Mike ty so much for your effort. My impression is the native menus are sometimes a little messy. Is there any chance that this becomes an "official" part of Reaper?
