LCS_Flat-7 :: UPDATED 12/15/2023
Available on STASH.
Reaper 7 default theme, but all buttons are flat.
Minimal layout additions at this time.
Screenshots are in the next post.
*The guide to using Separators in Post #3.
----- UPDATES -----------
12/15/2023
- Fixed Default Color Reset bug
- Fixed some graphics bug
- Updated 150 & 200 MIDI Transport buttons
- Layouts "B" & "C" set to show Sidebar only when selected by default (I may revert this once the Theme Adjuster is released)
- NEW: Theme now based on Default v7.07
- NEW: Separator Layouts for the TCP & MCP (use with *Caution: *see instructions for use)
- NEW: Added 150% and 200% DPI translation for color fader layouts and main Separator layouts (unneeded by the Dark Separator)
NOTE: I am currently unable to set the DPI translation down to 50% & 75% at this time.
11/17/2023
- fixed disappearing track name bug
- changed the TCP volume knob to look better when the track is selected
11/25/2023
Changes:
1. LCS_Flat-705 theme now based on the Default v7.05 theme
2. Volume knob changed to the simpler, gray circle version.
3. Volume Fader/Slider made non-transparent
4. Changed the INV Phase button on the MCP.
5. Edited the ENV buttons on the TCP to be more consistent with the other buttons.
6. The theme now defaults to full color strength.
NOTES:
If you want to return to the previous track color strength, you will need the edit the following RTconfig entry:
define_parameter customColorDepthParam 'Custom Color Strength' 100 0 100
change the first "100" to "30" or whatever strength you want.
-------------------------
Screenshots in the next post.

Visual Spacers vs Theme Separator Layouts
VISUAL SPACERS
--------------------
Cons:
- They are not theme-able
- no track name
- no colors
- no designs
Benefits:
- they are not a converted track layout
- they do not add to the track count
- cannot accidentally record or add media to that space
- safe to use
- requires no setup
- part of Reaper 7
- available for any theme used in Reaper 7, including pre-7 themes
THEME SEPARATOR LAYOUTS
--------------------------------
Use At Your Own Risk!
Cons:
- converted track layout
- adds to the track count
- specific to themes that have them
- requires setup: Disable Record, Mute track, lock the track controls and also lock the height in the TCP
- will cause issues if not setup before being used
- no way to prevent moving or copying media items to the Separator track when working in the Arrange View.
Benefits:
- theme-able
- can be named
- can be colored
- can have a design
GUIDE TO USE THEME SEPARATOR LAYOUTS:
-------------------------------------
1: use a normal layout to prep the track for Separator use:
2: mute the track
3: make sure Solo is off
4: set the volume to zero or "-inf"
5: clear all receives and sends, including the Master send
6: set the Recarm or the Recmode button to "Record: Disabled"
7: remove all FX if there are any
8: make sure the ENV button is set to Trim/Read (gray)
9: Set "Input" to "None"
10: Right click on the track and select "Lock track controls"
11: Select the tracl and change the layout to the desired Separator layout
12: Set the track height in the TCP for the separator
13: Right click on the track and select "Lock track height"
NOTE: this only locks the TCP height when resizing the all the tracks
I think that should cover it, but remember this doesn't stop you from moving or copying track items to the separator lanes in the arrange view.
If I find a way to lock it out in the arrange View, I'll update the guide.

Looks really nice!!! Well done!
And works with the last White Tie Default 7 theme adjuster
the only thing missing is the colored faders.

Love it but there is a bug... The track name in the TCP disappears when the track is selected. Text colour and background colour are probably close to indentical.

Thanks, everyone!
RE: Colored Faders
It's possible I will add 3-4 colored faders later, but I'm hesistant to change any code until there's a official release with the Theme Adjuster

Thanks for reporting this!
Unfortunately, it required that I revert the selected label background back to white and rebuild the Volume knob.

A really nice v7 version of default theme, more polished and modern looking. Nevertheless here are my suggestions. Please do something with the narrow layout, the default v7 is useless IMO. Can be just like v6 narrow layout with the sendlist and fxlist there and in perfect simetry with the other layouts.
Thanks.

Change or remove folder indent
A very nice theme indeed.
Is there an easy way to change or remove folder indent in MCP?
With multiple nested folders I prefer no indent in MCP. Thanks!

@ DocBob - You're welcome!
@ Never - Thanks!
Now you'll probably one-up me as usual
@ EduSerra - Thanks!
RE: your suggestions:
Normal Volume knob
Possibly, I have mixed feelings about it, but it's growing on me, so I may change it in the next update to this:
Sendlist knob
no changes to this
Sendlist Meter line
no changes to this
You can easily edit the files though:
mcp_sendlist_meter.png
tcp_sendlist_meter.png
Mute & Solo active state
White Tie will be a little sad to hear that.
They are pretty much his active buttons for default 7.
I just gave them a black border and then used them to create the non-active state.
I'm unlikely to change them, since they match the other buttons.
Narrow Layout changes
The issue mentioned wll likely be addressed once the Theme Adjuster is finally released.
I'm unwilling to make code changes before then.
Recarm & Phase buttons
No to the suggestions because - reasons -

Not sure about this, but no folder indent may be possible once the Theme Adjuster is officially released.

Love the look of this - well thought out.
I would like to be able to drag the bottom of the transport right down to the bottom, hiding the MCP.
I believe there is a way that was reported in the forum but it eludes me.

Thank you for the tip. I installed the current version as explained here https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=283793 and can now change the folder intend in the MCP to my liking.

Use CTRL+M to hide and unhide the MCP.
It keeps the MCP track heights where you last set them.

The following screenshots show what is changing in the upcoming LCS_Flat-7.05 theme update:
1. Volume knob changed to the simpler, gray circle version.
I think it fits the theme better and what I had in mind when creating the theme, but the earlier versions didn't click.
2. Volume Fader/Slider made non-transparent
3. Changed the INV Phase button on the MCP.
I forgot to do this in the previous release.
4. Edited the ENV buttons on the TCP to be more consistent with the other buttons.
5. The theme will default to full color strength.
This is another change I wanted to do when creating the theme, but I didn't figure out the setting until now.
If you want less color strength you can use the Theme Adjuster to set it.
The 7.05 theme release will work with the 7.05 Theme adjuster available in the development thread, but remember that it's still under development and may have some issues that are still being worked.
Report any bugs you find with to that same thread.

yup I knew that
It's just that I prefer to just be able to drag it down and up.
I will have to find my note about it and try.
But I can live with it

UPDATE: 11/25/2023
Available on STASH.
Changes:
If you want to return to the previous track color strength, you will need the edit the following RTconfig entry:
define_parameter customColorDepthParam 'Custom Color Strength' 100 0 100
change the first "100" to "30" or whatever strength you want.
The LCS_Flat-705 theme update will work with the Default 7.05 Theme adjuster that is currently in development.
It's available in the development thread.
Please note that it's still under development and may have some bugs.
Report any bugs you find in that same thread and not here.

Awesome skin, thank you for that.
A quick question (Reaper 7), is there a way to show the db scale again with Reaper 7? I use this a lot (especially when I use an EQ or comp to compensate the output that I won't be fooled by a louder output).
Is this theme related or Reaper 7?
Never mind, I figured :

If you downloaded LCS_Flat-7 on or after 11/25/2023, you need the 7.05 version of the Theme Adjuster that's available in this development thread.
Again, please note that it's still under development and may have some bugs.
White Tie's notes say " ..this is risky, untested code.." so only use if you're comfortable with that.
Report any Theme Adjuster issues in that same thread.

The following screenshots show what is changing in the upcoming LCS_Flat-7.06 theme update:
1. MCP & TCP Separators for 100%, 150% & 200%, plus a "Dark" separator that only has color in the track name.
NOTE: If you don't need the track name or the track color, you should use the new built in Visual track Spacers instead.
2. Color Faders - Red, Blue & Gold faders will be available.
SCREENSHOTS:
MCP Separators for 100%, 150% & 200%

NOTE: The middle separator shows that it's selected.
TCP Separators for 100%, 150% & 200% & Color Faders

Is it possible to copy forward the tweaks made with the theme adjuster to the new version, or do I have to tweak it all out to taste again?

The Theme Adjuster settings are stored in the following file in the main Reaper folder:
reaper-themeconfig.ini
All the settings for each theme are under the heading named after the theme:
EX:
[LCS_Flat-7_unpacked]
If 7.05 version of the Theme Adjuster works for the Default 7.06 theme, then I don't think you'll need to do anything.
If a new Theme Adjuster is created for 7.06, I suspect it will still use the settings in this file, but you might want to save the Flat-7 section someplace, just in case.
Also, you will likely need to copy the settings over at some future point once Flat-7 needs it's own Theme Adjuster version.

Just tried this out on Windows 150%. Seems like not every image loaded properly, namely the envcp slider. Possibly also the MIDI editor transport, but maybe you didn't get to those yet. Also seems like the default track color is different than the one in your image (is that what's meant by 'previous color strength'?)

The separators update hasn't been released yet.
I'm assuming you're using the new built-in Visual Spacers for Reaper 7.
Please read the notes below.
VISUAL SPACERS
--------------------
Cons:
- They are not theme-able
- no track name
- no colors
- no designs
Benefits:
- they are not a converted track layout
- they do not add to the track count
- cannot accidentally record or add media to that space
- safe to use
- requires no setup
- part of Reaper 7
- available for any theme used in Reaper 7, including pre-7 themes
SEPARATOR TRACK LAYOUT
--------------------------------
Use At Your Own Risk!
Cons:
- converted track layout
- adds to the track count
- specific to themes that have them
- requires setup: Disable Record, Mute track, lock the track controls and also lock the height in the TCP
- will cause issues if not setup before being used
- no way to prevent moving or copying media items to the Separator track when working in the Arrange View.
Benefits:
- theme-able
- can be named
- can be colored
- can have a design
I plan to write a setup guide with the next release.
Also, I'm looking for a way to implement them to make them less hazardous to use.

The new ENVCP fader will be included in the next update.
I'm unable to replicate the MIDI Play button issue shown in your screenshot.
[EDIT]
I think I found it.

UPDATE: 12/15/2023
This was fixed in the current version available on Stash.
UPDATE: 12/13/2023
This has been found to not be an issue with the default theme, but is instead a result of my misunderstanding of how the new theme works.
I will change it in the next update set to default to medium dark gray color selection that will be available in the theme developer.
Hopefully, this will alleviate the issue without needing more coding.

Yes, this is a bug in the default theme.
It's been reported.
In the meantime, right click on the track and set the color to the following.
Suggest you also save that as custom color while in there.
Red: 85
Green: 85
Blue: 85

[EDIT]
I think I found it.

I originally thought it was a Windows 150% issue, but I tested all scaling factors on both Mac and Windows, and they all have the same look.
