It sounds like a lot of work to make hi-res. I can live without that.

This beta fixes peak meter color -- it will always be green. RMS and LUFS meters remain blue. Also updated on ReaPack.

Love the new meter colors. This just keeps getting better.

Found a little issue. The MCP layouts with the label bottom only colors the faders on the Standard layouts (i.e. Lab, Lac, Lad). All other layouts will not color the faders.

Not a big issue but when I have a high track count I like to use the small layout with red faders (Lcd).

This is working fine for me:

v1.7.0-beta.5 is out on Github and ReaPack.

This one eliminates the "red label" layouts and replaces them with Theme Adjuster variables (separate "red label" settings for TCP and MCP), and adjusts the MCP track index color in label-on-bottom layouts.

Let me check some things and see if it's something held over from another theme that modified some of the ini files. I do have custom icons for toolbars. I'll do a clean install on a laptop I have to see what that shows.

Thanks,

I did a fresh Reaper install on Win11 using 1.7 Beta 5 and still a no go on the colored faders except for the standard layout. These should all be blue. Same thing on my Win10 system. I'm using the built-in motherboard graphics card. For my Win 10 system it is the Intel HD Graphics 630.

Also track three is a folder and doesn't show the > graphic indicator at the top although track four shows the rounded edge indicating last track in the folder. This happens on both systems as well.

Maybe it's a Windows thing, maybe it's me. Not a showstopper but just letting you know.
Thanks,

I'll check it out on a Windows box. There may be some issue with the layout path specification...

This appears to be a cross-platform bug with resolving nested folders from a zipped theme file. If you unzip the theme and use it as Peace_MOD.ReaperTheme with a Peace_MOD folder, it works as expected. I'll file a bug report, and thank you for bringing it up.

For the time being, until this bug is addressed in REAPER (or I can find a workaround), here's a label-on-bottom-only version of the theme for you to use:

Thanks. I unzipped it and that is a work around. I'll download the label bottom only but no need to create additional work for you as the workaround seems to cure the issue.

Edit: With the color faders. I still don't get the first track folder icon on the MCP. The last track in folder works fine.

Thanks again.

I just tried all of the layouts and the indicator is working fine for me (I haven't tried on Windows).

Same problem in the label-on-bottom variation?

Yeah - same in the Label Bottom. Must be a Windows thing.

Just posted an update (v1.7.0-beta.6) to address the REAPER bug with nested subfolders (breaking colored faders in label-on-bottom layouts). It makes the theme a little bigger, but now it works as intended.

Also on ReaPack (there was a link bug with the beta releases on ReaPack which has been resolved, btw, so if you tried getting a ReaPack-based beta and got a broken theme, try again).

Hey - I did not have that option selected and yes that did solve the problem! Not sure I've ever noticed that option before. Sorry for the stress!!

Thanks,

v1.7.0 is out, at this link or via ReaPack (repository link in my sig).
  • New "label on bottom" mixer layouts
  • Removed "red label" layouts, red label on record-enable can now be set in the Theme Adjuster
  • Peak meters are always green (not only while record-enabled). RMS/LUFS meters remain blue
  • Various tweaks and improvements

This theme is excellent! Thanks for improving it.

Is there any way I can change the FX inserts in MCP to the right of the track instead of the left? I find it more intuitive to use like this.

Not at this time, but I can look into it next time I do some work on the theme.

Would be possible to reduce the number of the fx list to 2 with small heights like this?

Also, a small tweak in the MIDI Editor I'd recommend is to darken the start of beats like this:

I honestly haven't learned how the graphics for the lists are processed/tessellated for different sizes, but I can investigate.

This looks pretty good to me, and matches the arrangement view (quite closely, at least).

FYI, I just pushed a minor update to Github and ReaPack (repos link in sig) with graphical support for some of the new pre-release features wrt track fixed lanes, comping and mouse modifier context toggles.

There are no other significant changes for anyone _not_ using the latest pre-releases.

With a little bit of tweaking in the rtconfig.txt file (using some code from the original theme), I've managed to have one fx row in the TCP
The only downside being its using the old track layout

Hey! Hope you're well!

Found an issue in the midi editor. It currently isn't possible to see where the pitch cursor is in the midi editor, so it makes workflows with the keyboard not possible.

Can you take a screenshot of the element you're talking about (in the default theme, if it's not visible in Peace)? Are you talking about the notation editor? Thanks!

Do you mean not to create new columns if the number of rows exceeds the vertical space?

EDIT: I am pretty sure that's what you mean and I've fixed it for the next update (coming shortly, as soon as I get an answer on the previous post).

Talking about the midi editor actually! The pitch cursor which tells the user what note will be inserted when using the insert note action:

Thanks
