It seems as though the track list icon in the midi editor isn't working. Attached. Can I address that?

Also given how selecting items works, do you typically not change the color of tracks when working with your theme?

This isn't a theme issue, probably a custom button icons which was added before and not present in this theme.
You can edit the toolbar to change button.

Are you sure? It's missing from the stock midi toolbar as well which I've never modified.

I couldn't find the png i was looking for in the toolbar icons to add.

I use green. Selected colors is on background of the items, not the waveform so it do stand out as well.

I checked and the button wasnt in the original theme (Lerian's Default Analog) so it is not there too.


It seems that I would have to create them myself.

Would you mind sending me a screenshot of the settings that I'm sharing below? I think that's where the issue lies and I trust that your settings are well thought out given your theme.

Would you suggest using a different icon then as there's not a way to get that icon in that color?

Though not sure about the ❗ / 🚫 image choices... seems to be specific to Lerians theme cause it is M/S in default 4.0 on which this theme is supposed to be based

I'm not exactly certain of what you mean.

in default 4.0 + width the icons are all visible but different than these ones on your theme.

Yes, I'm on a Mac! Very curious what the fix would be because I love and want to use your theme but do need to be able to use the midi editor

It seems that there is now images called table_mute_off.png, table_mute_on.png and other table_ named images in theme zips which can be used for this images.
My theme doesnt have it and it fallback to default in this case... But there is a REAPER bug which makes it not work on Mac for this placement in particular (you just have empty spaces).


Let's pause this for the moment, it need a proper report to cause,
and also maybe me putting the images in the theme cause quicker than waiting for a fix



Meanwhile, you can take these images from a theme of your choice and put it into my theme REAPER theme zip.

The sliders the are appearing are good, but those tiny little blue and white lines in the screenshots can't be right as they are pretty impossible to see and grab.

Is there a way to make the TCP tracks more flat?

I like the subtle 3D around the edges, but not the 3D curve in the middle.

Is there a graphic overlay that gives it the curve in the middle? I'm hoping it's not a complicated change...

I unzipped the main X-Raym_Analog.ReaperThemeZip file and edited the tcp_bg.png image. Zipped it all back together, but it just totally breaks the theme.

I tried *not* zipping it back together, just leaving the folder and the reapertheme file, but that didn't work either. I don't know what's getting broken, but it seems like the whole theme gets broken. The MCP gets messed up, too, even though it didn't get edited in any way.

I'll continue to use it as-is.

Not sure why. The theme is really heavily moded so is surely not backward compatible with previous graphics.



But another solution would be to open the current tcp_bg in a image editor and set flat pixels value from there. Refersnto White Tie user guide to know more about image editing.

In the Theme Adjuster there's nothing to change! Perhaps there's another way which I don't know..?

I have a How-to question.... I want to remove the button that sets a track as a folder, last in folder, etc. I have buttons in the toolbar that do that, and I sometimes click those darn folder buttons in the TCP and have to re-set them.

What would I look for?

I was looking around in the rtconfig.txt file and found a few lines about folders, but I have no idea what those lines mean.

I'm willing to roll up my sleeves and dig in, but I don't know what to look for.

That's what I want to do - remove them.

I tried removing the images, a larger default image is displayed in it's place.I'm wondering where the code that defines those buttons resides.

There are 28 lines in the rtconfig file that contain the string "folder". Some of them define how much the child tracks indent (I think). I guess I can just go through and comment them out. It might work, but I won't learn anything doing that.

I'll look a it again tomorrow.

You will learn everything by doing that!
Exploration is a great source of learning, and sometimes the only way (other people dont always have the answer). Especially with REAPER stuffs!


Anyway, I sent you the doc, so you know where to start, and you even know what to do (I suggest remove, but comment out is fine too). Have fun moding! 😉
