Q Writing autonomous values to envelope?
In this (3 MB) animated gif, the Dry'Wet knob is being modulated from within the plug-in.
>>> https://i.imgur.com/WkWLLci.gif
During playback you can see the knob on the GUI move. When the envelope is in Write mode you can see the EnvCP slider move BUT the values are not written into the envelope.
If I disable the internal modulation and drag the knob myself then the EnvCP slider moves AND the values are written. All as expected.
Is there a way I can get the internal modulation to be written? Or is it a Bug? Or an FR?

Thank you - the BLue Cat freebie links no longer work (and I don't really want to mess about with the pro version),
In this case, Reaper is clearly getting the info back from the plug-in as the Env CP slider is being moved; but that info is not being written to the envelope lane.
I'll see if I have any other plug-ins that show a similar result.

Edit:
Ah ha. dpMeter2 (TBProAudio) does it IF I turn on [Auto], so it looks like a plug-in issue.

Yes, I think the plugin dev needs to set a specific flag for a VST parameter (similar as can be done for JS FX) for this to work.

Exactly how is that being modulated? Is it something you could do with Reaper's own Parameter Modulation? It'll probably write the envelope if you do it that way. You'd have to turn PM back off to get it to follow the envelope after, of course.
If that's not acceptable, you could use PM to link that parameter to some "dummy" parameter and write that envelope. Literally just open the FX browser, choose FX|Create new JS..., name it something and hit ok. Now you'll have four faders that do nothing at all. Link one of those to the knob and write its envelope.

Sorry, I was not clear - I want to get the modulation which is generated within the plug-in, out into Reaper so that I can use / modify it. I used a very simple modulation example to make the screenshot easier to understand.
So the modulation starts off inside the plug-in.
