Thanks, though I was thinking while watching the video same can be done using MIDItoReaControlPath which would make the loopback redundant no ?

MIDI Rearoute, or MIDItoReaControlPath could possibly work - however I think it does some magic by detecting what track it is on - in order to route the midi to hardware. It doesn't seem to work at all as an item effect. So you would be stuck doing routing.

ReaInsert seems to work where ever you put it.

I admit I've never tried it as item FX and don't use hardware, so I haven't considered these point. Thanks for clarifying.

I was mistaken...
Actually this does work as well!

It Jeffos' TrackReaControl and SendReacontrol that will only work as track fx.

This does make it a lot easier, just need to put the fx chain in the item.
