New here, looooving Reaper. Ive done a theme: slightly influenced by Mackie, I've also done a behringer one - it looks exactly the same

Default yeah

thats hot buddy ro! Hey lighten up that background...that blue ontop of blue is confusing..waveforms dont stand out....make the back an easy grey blue on top of grey will stand out better. This ought to be in the Install pack.

Yowser, just what I've been looking for. Crap, I wasted 5 hours last night.

There's color in mute and solo (the RIGHT colors!) even when not selected, and buttons with state look different from those without.

I guess I can thank mackie for that stuff, but thanks for making the theme!!!

Thanks people

The blue colouring is all correct for Mackie's HDR system. Be my guest to give it a tweak, I was just being authentic. Which isn't always a good thing.

As for the sliders ...er... oops, thank you Here they are the right way round.

That's an awesome theme.
Will add it to my collection.

Thanks.

EDIT:
Ah - I can see some issues. The blue on blue when a part is selected as someone mentioned earlier. Also the writing of volume and panning information in the track header and on the channel strips is almost unreadable when they are selected.

This can probably be tweaked, so I'll try to work it out myself.

Regards
Caleb

Alas, I also seemed to have made the MIDI editor into a total nightmare, any chance someone with a bit more experience could take a look at this and repost* please?

*perhaps that should be 'reapost'...

Be my guest!

Do you think its worth me putting in a FR for us to be able to utilise the 'no man's land' pixels, particularly on the transport bar?

16x16 is downright cruelty By centering anything from 16x16 to 27x27, compatability with existing icons would be maintained but we could do so much more. A new 'mouse over' icon would be needed, to overide the current bevel box, but I think it would be worth it.

What do you think?

I think it would be awesome!

I've been working on icons for over a month and have come up with many designs I like but when I actually put them into Reaper they look so small, cramped, and really far apart. Especially some good loop buttons I've come up with. So..... yeah, using the dead space would be great.

I love the way apps like garageband have transport buttons right next to each other with only the outside ones having rounded corners. It just looks so clean and professional. If we could use the dead space this look could be easily achieved. There may need to be a 1 pixel border of unused space between icons, but it would still be worth it.

i definately agree. Reaper would look much more pro with this change.

EDIT: Lost the transparancy in the conversion to PNG, but you get the idea.
