Undoing a track paste (where track has lots of VSTi data associated) is now wayyy faster.
Great news!

There is a bug in the midi in this version, the first recorded note plays double notes even when you only press one note, this behavior wasn't in 4.33 pre32c. And drawing cc's is not consistent when drawing cc's towards the beginning and towards the end of a loop(it looks like events are multiplied towards the end and beginning). I attached project files showing this and a jpeg.

I might have a bug I know this might not be the place but I swear this worked about a month ago on an earlier pre and I didn't want to revert yet until hopefully someone can try this and say "yes it works"
I just tried for ages to help a new Reaper user to get the "link track volume/pan to midi channel" working as either a send (as a multitimbral instrument) or on the same track with a vst (both using stylus). This was done in the classic cubase way of having separate "midi tracks" and a main track for stylus itself.
I tried other synths too but none of them would receive the CC from the volume track.
Am I missing a trick? I read through loads of threads and no mention of it not working at all plus it worked for me a month ago (hence posting here first).

I can reproduce using your project.
But, only if I don't play the note "before" the beginning (with a count in set) . To make the first note double I have to play just after recording starts.
This is because I have reaper set to trim notes that start before the recording should do so early notes don't get cut off.
EDIT: I can't reproduce this on my own default project though. This could be related to settings.. Will try and see what ones.

I think I found the option that causes the recording double note bug!
It's the overdub option in the right click menu for recording button. If you put this to just "record input (audio or midi)then it no longer doubles the note for me.
I would imagine the delay between the doubled notes also depends on tempo but I haven't tested that yet

I just went back to 4.33 pre32c, it's a bug in overdub and I happen to use overdub whenever I record midi. The option you recommended doesn't overdub when the loop is finished, it records a whole new item over what was previously recorded so it doesn't fix much for me. This bug was in reaper 4.32 but was fixed in the 4.33 pre's now it's back in the latest.
I can't repro doubled notes on record nor the CC density weirdness in a clean project here.
Do you have midi overdub set? and I have a link to the gif for the CC problem showing it being done. It seems to happen when cc is drawn fast with the mouse.

edit: for the double note bug you must have midi overdub set and a time selection for loop recording. The first note in recording will trigger twice and either sound "phasey" or like 2 notes with one slightly delayed.
WDL/swell/swell-gdi.mm, added a CFRelease(attrString) in the right place
OK, thanks. I have just merged your CoreText stuff with my own WDL, so if you could update your WDL with the fix within the next few days or so... *pretty please*

For me this is only an issue if Prefs/Loop Recording/"MIDI recording within empty time selection always creates selection-length media item" is set. Can you confirm that you have this option on?

Just want to say a big thank you to the devs and to all beta-testing! You do an amazing job!
I know, all those tiny details, and you wander -does it really make a difference. Well, it sums up.
And makes the user-experience for Reaper better and better.
While REPEAT playback mode is ON, all CCs resets itself to 0.
When REPEAT mode is turned off, all CCs stay at their last place.
The "CC reset" in preferences is turned off all the time. The midi editor window is not opened, and when its opened - all the behaviour described above is the same, theres just no difference.
One thing regarding to new MIDI editor options:
when opening a MIDI item in "Open all track MIDI" mode, only ACTIVE item should remain selected, not ALL items, as it is now.
The reason:
- when I quit MIDI editor, all track MIDI items are selected so I don't have visual clue what item I was just editing!
