Interesting the three pitch up tracks for the refrain voice. Slight and nice difference.
And finally, last month you did ask me about the Time Delayer. I do the same this time (but in a different place): why are you ussing it on the plate verb track before ReaVerb with this high values?
The oscilloscope was so I could see the clipping I did with the previous plugin.

The time delayer on the reverb track just adds a predelay to the reverb. Maybe there’s a way to do that within the ReaVerb plugin instead, I don’t know.

The pitched tracks were just an experiment. I was listening to reference tracks with a lot of subtle harmonies, and I wanted the vocal in the chorus to be a bit lighter-feeling and I couldn’t get there with eq, so I just decided to try pitching the track instead. The pitched tracks are really subtle in the mix, but they’re a lot more prominent in the sides.

Thanks for checking out my mix!

I'm looking through the Cambridge multitrack library to pick a good song to mix next month, and I'm kind of curious...

What genres are you all most excited to mix?

Are there any genres that you would strongly prefer not to have to mix?

Smaller projects (with fewer tracks) are usually, but not always, easier than projects with more tracks. What do you think is a good amount of tracks for you to practice with? There are options from 3 to 100+ tracks.

Congrats Dex. Well deserved. Kind of a bummer that so many voters docked points on the vocal glitch, I don't consider fixing that to be a mixing task and was really scrapped for time so spent what little time I had to spare on the actual mix. Oh well.

Congrats to Dex. A deserved winner I thought.

This was my first attempt at a mixing contest, and I was quite happy with my mix and when compared to the others I thought Hmm, not bad.

Then the judging and the comments!! It was then that I realized I have so much to learn. You guys heard things that I hadn't noticed, but when pointed out they seemed so obvious. I have yet to learn how to "listen" to my mixes.

All in all a bit humbling, but a wonderful learning process. I have learnt quite a few thing already, not only from my mix but by listening to how other people approached the mix.

If you want to improve your mixes you could do a lot worse than enter the competition.

Thanks to darjama for organizing the whole shebang, it was great fun.

There´s something wrong with the Reamixed-Home site.

It loads and opens for a split second than closes immediately.

Used different browsers but they all show the same error.

Interestingly, Reamixed results and archive are loaded.
