Default Ripple editing weird behaviour

When I set ripple editing to tracks, deleting an area of items should move what ever is behind to where the start of these deleted items begin. This is not the case? Am I missing something....

You have some empty space across the tracks. This will not be removed when you are deleting only items *. If you want to remove the whole area, including the empty space, you could e.g. make time selection for the area and then use the action Time selection: Remove contents of time selection (moving later items).

*) By default, Delete calls the action Remove items/tracks/envelope points (depending on focus).
