I've updated the help pages (1 for overview, 1 for mouse controls), but once you know broadly what it can do, the tooltips are the most useful, especially for casual use -leave them on -I refer to them often, and I wrote the darned thing
Have a play with it -for most people, I'm sure they'll lock a couple of their markers and put it to sleep in the corner. The copy and move thing should be useful though -I've tried to take the thinking out of it, you ust decide if you're copy/moving them by a time distance or to a time position (or cursor position), select and go.
If you tried beta9, 12 is just tidier with a few more whistles and the tooltips. Ask here or PM if you get stuck or get a good idea for it. hopi asked for it not to over-colour the unlocked and locked markers. If you just use it for the copy/move tool and the renumbering that won't worry you though.

Beta13 Release
#Fixed nit-pick in selection column when index marker is selected by mouse click and then moved by mousewheel -index marker choice no longer jumps.
+Selection column can be removed by Alt-clk.
#Mouse event trap no longer waits for Shift, Ctrl or Alt to be released before allowing subsequent modifier clicks.
#Reinstated vert-drag limits on times and renumber parameters.
#Fixed rounding bug in resetting time parameters.
Let me now if you find any more issues or have any suggestions...

Well to be honest hopi, I think that's it. I can't find any bugs or nitpicks left, and I can't think of anything else to tweak or add ATM.
Did you try it with that colour flag set to 0? Do you prefer those header mouse controls I changed? Any suggestions?
I think I've bamboozled Tod, unless he's still busy
Edit: spoke too soon, found a couple of small bugs on the vertical drag for renumber increment (displays integers, but stepping in 0.2 jumps -needed a round() on lcd release), and a logic error in the mousewheel adjust of the copy/move absolute time fraction-part. Expect a bugfix upload in the morning

I think I've got the item marker tool to take notice of stretch markers if anyone would like to test a copy.
It's still full of annotation lines as I'm trying to make sure it's solid, but I can comment them out if anyone is feeling brave
Ok, it seems solid enough to go out...
03-Dec-14 => Item Marker Tool beta16.
+Item marker position now tracks stretch marker source waveform moves.
+Snap offset in an item can be set to an associated item marker position/ reset.

It's been tested and tweaked:
04-Dec-14 Item Marker tool beta 17
#Code optimisation and bugfixes on stretch-marker functions.
I've added the SM functionallity to the Source Time Position Tool too.

I've just about got rothchild's request nailed, hopi.
As an alternative to locking a marker to a time offset relative to an item's take source, this option locks a marker to a quarter-note offset relative to an item's MIDI source. You can mix and match offset types in a project and the tool auto detects the type once set.
It works a treat with dealing with tempo changes, I'm just working out the compensation factor locations needed if you stretch the MIDI item (not sure you'd want to, but trying to make it idiot-proof).

Beta18 Lock marker to QN in MIDI items...
03-Jan-15 Item Marker tool beta 18
Beta18
+ Marker offset can now be locked to Quarter Notes (beats) for MIDI items as opposed to seconds from source origin (time) in audio items.
If a marker is associated with a MIDI item, Ctrl-click enable use of a Quarter Note offset as opposed to a time offset used with audio items. This means the Item Marker can lock to a MIDI note or event, this lock tracking over tempo and position changes.
Ctrl-clk: enables QN offsets, Ctrl-Alt-clk: disables QN offsets.
I think this is what rothchild's request was earlier in this thread.
Yes, I know the symbol is a quaver, not a crotchet, I used what was available in the Windows symbols set -but I'm working on it

It may well have been!
I've just got to spinning this up (just did 'run script' from the actions menu and away we go).
What an amazing piece of work, thanks for putting it together, it's the sort of functionality that should be adopted in to the main program.
I'm sure it's going to be a great help next time I'm in one of those moments with mailed in project trying to get tings set up nicely!

If you get time to put it through its paces, let me know what you think, suggestions, confusing stuff, any quirks, bugs, etc.
I think it does everything I wanted it to do plus suggestions from the guys here. Thanks for your ideas.

Hey Planetnine!
Your script seems amazing and exactly what I need but I have an error each time I'm launching it saying:
"str_setlen: clamping requested length of 1048576 to 65536"
It is a known issue?
Thanks!

That looks like something about your project is taking a function past its limits.
Do you have a line number? SetLen is a string function, so I’m wondering how it’s getting to that length of string.
Gimme some more info and I’ll see what I can do when I get back -travelling a bit this week.

Thanks for the fast reply!
I have no line number.
It's the only message I have.
I find a kind of equivalent using the heda's region & marker from item script so it's not a big deal but maybe you would like to fix the issue for the other users.
Sorry I haven't any other info about the error.
Cheers!

Might be a Mac issue, I'll try and borrow a MacBook next week and have a look. Any other Mac users confirm?
You on PC, Hopi?

Is it possible to have a scroll function in the script window? I have over 300 markers and cant edit this because you cant reach them.
