I have plugged the record out on my Katana 50 into the Hi-Z input of my UR44 many times and recorded successfully in Reaper. What sort of problem are you having?

I think as long as you have an interface with a Hi-Z input, which most do, often with a combo hi-Z/XLR arrangement, it should work fine.

i've never used one of these amps, but isn't it a bit strange that it outputs a Hi-Z rather than a line level signal from the record out?

are you connecting it to your audio interface through a cable. because there is also a usb port

maybe i'll spend some time this week and try and figure this out. and also go put some new strings on my guitar lol

Why not explain what trouble you had using it??

Otherwise there is absolutely no reason it won't work over USB as it has an ASIO driver. As long as you understand that it must work both as input and output once you select it as driver.

ok, i connect it to my laptop with the usb cable. then i go to options/prefrences/midi devices. and enable them. but the problem is i can see a yellow bar but the volume doesnt go all the way to the top. and when i play i only hear it through the amp. and i'm not hearing it through my headphone speakers that are connected to the computer. so to hear it do i need my audio interface or can i use the usb cable. and how do i hear it through my headphones.

The record out is also a headphone out. I am running in Linux, so usb is more complicated. I don't usually record through the Katana anyway. I use the amp sim Tonelib GFX, which until recently was free.

yea no. its giving me too much grief.

i'll just go use an amp sim that was a good idea

actually never mind. none of those sound that great to me

honestly it's frustrating cause your musics going to be crap if you cant get good tones

but actaully i discovered that reaper comes with an amp sim. i should look more into that.
