Default limiting a MIDI fader

Hi guys!

I was wondering if it's possible to give values to a MIDI assignment, or maybe limiting the maximum of the volume directly on the track.

I feel it's not clear so i explain.

I'm a DJ. I reroute traktor in reaper and i apply effects. Due to the slight delay there is between what is played in traktor and what is played by reaper after the effects are applied, i can't really use the faders properly if they are assigned to traktor.

So i assigned the faders to reaper, but a track in reaper has its maximum to +24db and i would like it to be 0db, so when i push my fader all the way on my controller, it doesn't go to +24db and i can actually mix the way you'd do on a real mixer, or even traktor.

So it it possible to tell reaper "if my fader is all the way up, it means 0db" or setup the tracks directly so they don't go over 0db.

I know, it's not a regular usage, but maybe there is a workaround?

Thanks

Ah it was right in front of my nose! It's possible to define the range in the settings...
