Default imperial mod - added folders, anyone interested?

hey * !

i just did a quick mod of the original WT_Imperial theme that makes use of the old school folders, it really is a quick hack - especially given that I have no clue about WALTER. I didn't find any related mod, so if there exists another one please let me know. This is just about adding the folder functionality (nothing fancy here) that I was used to while having Imperials eye candy + original layout tweaks.

if there is some interest in it, I'll put it on the stash or github the next week. (I guess I have to change the branding then, yes?).

cheers!

EDIT: green lit led: no compactification, blue = small, red = tiny (as usual).

I'd be interested in a test drive - checking folders makes me think far too often when using my favorite theme .

Default Not working?

Hello, it seems this is a very old thread, but I just tried this and it doesn't work for me. Everything looks white and unfinished. Am I doing something wrong?

Please check the attached image, for reference.

Thanks!

Great stuff! Testing now

No it doesn't work for me at all. Are there any explicit installation instructions?

It works if i double click the theme file. But not if I browse for the theme.

Seems ok, but yeah looks slightly hacked Better than it was though: Thanks!

Default No joy for me

I can't make it work. It looks white and as if it was not loaded. I tried adding it by double clicking and by options menu. It looks like the attached image. Any tips?

Did you already have the Imperial theme installed and working?

Yes I do, Imperial looks and works fine. It is a beautiful theme. The only thing that throws me back is the indented folders issue. I have used Reaper's default theme for a long time now, so I am very used to the folder indentations.

I wonder what is wrong here... SOme of my specs:

Windows 7 x64
Reaper Version 4.602
Two screens at resolution 1920 x 1080
Imperial theme installed and working.

Thanks for your responses so far.

It only worked for me when I had the original Imperial theme set and Reaper was open. The I double clicked the new file and Reaper instantly updated to the new folder layout.

tbh, the stuff that the Imperial theme brings to the table is worth forgoing the folder issue. It is only cosmetic. You can still drag and drop to create new folders and the green icon shows which is the last in line. However, this fix (if you get it working) does make a difference.

I am sorry if it doesnt work for you :S
is there anything i can do about it?

In general I need the old school folder behavior, I usually do a lot of sound design related stuff with lots of submixes etc; the ident helps alot imho. otherwise the original theme is awesome

I totally agree. I don't understand why it's not working. It almost does, but looking really white and losing any sort of formatting on the mixer.

Hi lodsb, thanks for your response. If there was something you could do to help me, it'd be awesome. and very kind of you. I've moved from Cubase to Reaper, and loving it! The imperial theme is fantastic. If I could only sort this folders issue...
