Default Jesusonic amp-model

Please excuse me if this is in the wrong forum...

When I use the Jesusonic amp-model as an FX on a channel in REAPER I cannot control the output vol. Probably something I have set wrong.

I add the FX, then adjust the preamp to get the desired overdrive. I then find the output meter way up in the Red. So I turn the channel volume down to compensate, and the O/Drive disappears. Obviously, as I have effectively turned down the input gain.

So...How do I set the output, so I still keep the O/Drive, and do not get the FX's meter output in the Red?

that particular plug is really for cabinet emulation, you wouldnt really want it to distort by itself.

Use JS: Guitar/distortion ahead of Guitar/amp-model for you gain.

Also here are some free guitar plugins http://www.simulanalog.org/guitarsuite.htm

These plugins are so good they probably make it to 95% of the albums Ive done in the last five years or so

I LOVE their JCM900

I knew I was doing something wrong.

Many thanks for the help and also for the link to the guitar suite. I seem to remember Computer Music Mag praising these plugs in the past.

Big thumbs up

Yeah, those GuitarSuite amp sims are "go-to" plugins. If I have two guitar parts (doing the same thing), I like running one through the Marshall and the other through the Fender Twin. That helps keep them from blending into one big mushy guitar track. Andy
