as shown from licecap above

when running, this script will create time selection based on selected item(s).

it also report toggle state. so it can be activated/deactivated as toolbar button.

when terminating the script via toolbar for the first time, check the Remember my answer for this script once for all.

Download from stash

Save it to ~REAPER path\Scripts.

Load it from Action List

This is script is fantastic! Is there a way to modify it so it can be used with a mouse modifier?

I'd like to use it with Shift-DoubleClick Media Item. But the modifier toggles it off/on instead of "momentary" on/off while I'm holding the shift key.

Thanks!

I wrote this script to mimic Pro Tools region/time range selection, thus it toggles with defer script.

By default, mouse modifier Shift + double click for media item is Set time selection to item. But it only create time selection from last selected media item.

If you want to create time selection from all selected items, there is native action for that. Find the following action
Code:
Time selection: Set time selection to items (40290)
and assign it to Media item context mouse modifier (Shift + Double click, or whatever you wish).
