Default multi track recording

hello and hi again

I've been busy sorry have not asked a good question worded all weirdly. but got another question, is reaper able to record multiple tracks in this program? i just bought a firw wire multimix alesis mixer and want to know if i can record different tracks at one time. and am i able to do a mix in reaper and cut the middle man the mixer?

Errr... YES! That's what it's for man! Which model Alesis do you have?

I can track 16 channels at once with my EMU1820M and Berry ADA8000. ROCK solid.

its a multimix 16 channel fire wire mixer what ever that means i just wanna record multiple tracks at one time or i'll just mix it before it goes to record.
