Default Starting again, resetting Reaper to try new Template?

I've been a fan of Reaper since around 2008, and I want to try a lean simple 'Acid Pro' user interface thats based on grid and looping items for speed.

Since 2008 i think my template has gotten rather bloated, with nearly all the actions bound to keys

Is there a way to save my current template, so its safe, but then 'reset' Reaper to its original state again, and I go through and start again with some actions, and setting up preferences to a loop based workflow?

I have written down a lot of what i think i want to use..

But i guess what would be even better, would be to have full templates and Reaper set-ups for whatever I need, so a Film score template, an "Acid loop" template, all with different actions, and key command set ups.

I am sure I asked this before, but told it wasn't possible? but Reaper 6.0 would be a good time to do this all properly

So do I need to re-download Reaper to do all this?
