Default Trying to replicate certain Logic features... could really use your help..

I've gotten pretty far in replicating most of the Logic features I use all the time but there are some I haven't found an answer to:

1. There's a Logic feature "duplicate selected regions to selected tracks". I know of the Copy Selected items to Mouse Cursor in Reaper action but I think it's way faster in Logic. I can just select an item, use my arrow keys up/down to select a track and it neatly duplicates the region (items) right at the same position as the original item but onto the selected track instead. With Copy Selected items to Mouse Cursor I still have to move my mouse (trackpad) and point to where I want to paste the selected item. The Logic way is faster.

2. There's a Logic feature called "Pack Regions into Folder" whereby you can select a few items, hit the key command and it will pack the selected items into a "folder" that perfectly snaps to the nearest bar which then loops seamlessly: https://imgur.com/DEm9JtR
I know of the loop item feature in Reaper but I think this Logic way is faster.

These are the only two I can think of right now. Otherwise I'm really enjoying Reaper!

There are no answers so far because the terminology
of Logic and Reaper is very different.

What you call "regions" in Logic are "items" in Reaper.
On the other hand there are "regions" in Reaper, but
these regions are cycle-intervals.

Next is: Reaper doesn't have such folders. It only has
track-folder, but not whole project-folders. Instead
Reaper has someting similar called "subproject". But it's
not the same, it is only similar!

So you can't transfer commands of Logic into actions
of Reaper.

I'm pretty sure you can setup custom actions for those options. It might take a bit of work though. Probably look into something like 'create region from selected item' for both options.

Also, do you have SWS extensions installed? It gives you a whole lot more options to work with.

Thanks, checked out "sub-projects" and while it might help me achieve what I need, the workflow is a bit convoluted.

Checked out "create regions ...." but that command is for the Reaper version of regions, not the same thing. Yes, I do have the SWS extensions installed.

Thank you both for the helpful replies but I think I need to find another way. Cheers

You need to build a custom command hat contains a few steps. "create region from selected item" let you (after that) do all kind of things in relation to that created region, like copying stuff to the start of that region but on another track for example... so it won't copy to your mouse location but neatly aligned with your source item.

For your second question; select items, create region, loop region...will do exactly what you ask. Just build a custom action that does these steps.
