Default How do you map velocity to different parameters into a HW synth in Reaper

Wonder if any body can help. I have a Roland SH-101 with a Tubbutec SH-1oh1 fitted. I want to control some of the parameters via Midi in Reaper. These can be controlled by mapping velocity.

Quote from manual https://tubbutec.de/files/SH-1oh1_User_Manual.pdf

“A lot of midi controllable parameters, velocity can be mapped to 9 different targets including accents, filter and 2nd ADSR:”

What is velocity mapping and how do you map velocity in Reaper? I understand how to send cc messages, but this has me baffled.

You can map velocity to CC. There is a small JSFX called "MIDI velocity to cc and back". I downloaded it once but I don't remember where. But I'm pretty sure I found the link in this forum. So just use the search.

Hope that helps.
Greetings

"Velocity mapping", to me, just means that the plug-in can use the velocity of the MIDI notes to modulate some parameter. Generally it is done completely within the plug-in; the host DAW (reaper) knows nothing about it.

That Roland manual should explain how to do it.
