Hey Red, how's the 1820 working for you? I'm about to buy one with a GC gift card and ran across this thread, while doing the same type of research you did.
I got busy having to travel for work, and working on some other side projects, along with building the racks. I'll get back and let you know. Hopefully, sooner rather than later.

I believe I was responding to Serr's comment. My statements probably make more sense if they're not taken out of context and kept within the flow of the discussion.
I've also been around for awhile in the studio biz and am quite familiar with all the associated gear and players but thanks for the education anyways, maybe it will be useful to someone else.
