Default List of FX that can be embedded

Just took a look in the v6.0 user manual and there's only a quick mention that you can now embed some FX.

I'm totally digging having constant visual over compression and EQ on my drums, along with a spectrum display on my master.

So is there a list of effects that support it, particularly in the JS FX arena?

I tried the JS versions of some Sonic Anomaly plugins and they did allow it, but only displayed the top left corner of the panels, which had no controls or metering in that spot on the panel.

There are hundreds of JS plugins and didn't want to have to go through each one to find out which can be embedded, specifically of the ones from Cockos, as I'm confident that there are only a handful, and someone prolly knows which ones those are.

Ultimately I want to create a folder in my FX browser that is only the FX that support an embedded interface that is useful, so they are all together and always handy.

Thanks ED. I had figured those out by trial and error, but there are so many JS plugins, I didn't want to have to go through them all by hand one at a time to identify which ones had the new cool stuff.

JS that have gfx in the name will work. General Dynamics, for example.

Uhhh . . . That plugin says exactly this on my screen.

JS:General Dynamics (Cockos)

No filterable key like "gfx". Also, some like the LUFs meter allow you to embed it, but all you will see will be red text and no meter unless you open the effect.

I was hoping that Cockos or some beta testers had a list of JS plugins that were both able to be embedded in a track, and also useful to be embedded in a track.

on the subject, i'm trying to get ReaComp to embed in MCP, but haven't been successful.
TCP works fine, but i can't get anything to show up in MCP. default layout, and i've played with MCP options for "show X when size permits"
any ideas?

I was able to find the following files from my JS plugin folders that have the text "@gfx" in them, which may indicate they have a custom embeddable GUI in them :

Did you drag out the MCP to actually show the extended area?

Maybe the height of your mixer panel, and what other things are designated to show when the height allows it. Here's what I'm getting.

Cool! Thanks for that list which is shorter than the full list of JSFX. I've been randomly trying some to see if any seem like they could be useful for monitoring or altering the signal chain. So far the two stand out ones for me are spectrum display and general dynamics.

Hey Glenn, in your MCP, how did you get the faders to show as knobs? I would like to try that in mine and see if they take up a little less real estate.

In the Theme Adjuster, select "Narrow Form" on the Mixer Control page. Also I selected to Add Border on the left edge.

Thanks for the feedback. This is the relevant extract:

It is now possible to embed the GUI in the TCP/MCP for a limited number of FX, notably ReaEQ, ReaComp,ReaXComp, ReaSurround and some graphical JS plugins.

By oversight I accidentally omitted ReaFir from this list. I'll edit this to add this and some JS FX names for next update ... a bit late for you though, sorry!!

Meanwhile, the short answer to your question is that there is only a handful of JS FX which support embedding.

Thanks Nicholas. I've haphazardly gone through the list of JS plugins, and for now only a couple of them seem to be useful and embed properly, but they are pretty useful and I expect there will be more now that it is possible to embed FX in a track.

Rough and ready. This first version works in the MCP for Layouts A and B (and C when selected), but I have not worked out how to do the scaling needed for other sizes / themes etc

How to install a JS FX (in Post #4)

Many thanks to Liteon for the original JS FX
