Anybody with a UAD-2 card?
I'm having an issue with the Ocean Way where it isn't saving my settings on two different projects I'm using it on and I'm wondering if anybody else is having the issue?

What UAD version are you currently using? I have not noticed any issues with the OWS saving settings. Although, I am on the current 7.4 version.
I do know that UA has included some OWS plug-in fixes since it was first released (with v7.0). There have been about 5 UAD updates since then. If you have some specific steps to follow, I can see if I can repro when I get back in later today. I am using the x64 UAD versions in REAPER x64 (v4.57) on a Win7(SP1) DAW rig. Using both PCIe UAD-2 cards and Apollo QUAD.
Cheers,
Billy Buck

Me too, current Reaper & current UAD 7.4 and I've never had this issue before but I'm hoping somebody does. I have 2 UAD-2 quad cards.

Just tried using (2) instances of the OWS (one on a track the other on a aux bus) on a 24 track project. Made custom presets and saved and re-opened the project. All parameter settings are exactly how I saved them.

Yeah, i demoed it on 7.2 and it wasn't opening as saved. Duplicating a track caused the same problem. Presets werent saved/ recalling properly either. Havent tried it recently though.
I decided not to purchase it so never pursued it with support.

You don't make custom presets for everytime you change settings do you?

I did, yes. But even the stock ones werent recalling properly. Ive got the new one installed now and my demos reset so i can try again and see what happens.
Billy, did you test it in Reaper?

I'll only save a custom preset, if it is something I think I can use later on on something else. Typically, I will just tweak the settings to taste and simply save with the project. Either way, the changed settings are saved and recalled with project.

Yes, successfully tested using the x64 UAD 7.4 plug-in version in REAPER v4.57 x64.

Same setup, doesn't work here. Setting maybe? Saved with a Guitar preset, reopen project, its back to the Drum preset. Don't have this problem with any other plugins.
Is this what you're seeing Cameron?

I'll try to repro following your exact steps, when I am back in later tonight.

I just tried your repro and it is working as expected here. I suspect you don't have the proper REAPER preference set for these types of plug-ins (plug-ins that auto load sample data). The OWS loads a type of convolution sample data set when instantiated and when changing presets/sources,etc (the blinking light indicates when this is happening). Other plug-ins like EZDrummer (which I use a lot) do the same thing (auto load). Under REAPER's Playback preference tab you need to have the "Run FX when stopped" enabled. Without it enabled EZDrummer never auto loads a saved drumkit when reopening a session it just sits there at the default setting, like OWS. Once I disabled the "Run FX when stopped" option the OWS stopped loading a saved preset and stayed on the default.
Cheers,
Billy Buck

Well this is a bit frustrating, i've always had 'run fx when stopped enabled'.
Can you post a screen shot of your Plugins>VST settings, Billy?

Found it.
In Plugins>Compatibilty, Enabling "Disable saving full state..." makes it work.
Disabling - Compatibility settings>"Save state as VST bank" - by pressing the + on the plugin GUI works as well.
Had to be a setting somewhere. Lucky Billy has it working or we'd be calling bug on UAD .

Thanks all for the info.
Can't believe it's still relevant in 2018!
