Keymaps quick swap

hello!

is there a way to speed up the process of jumping from one keymap to an another?

I've found an old post from 2007 I think where somebody proposed an action like:

load keymap #1:
load keymap #2:

etc,...
this is right what I'm lookin for although I wasn't able to find that in the actions menu

Depending on what keymaps are talked about in here, and what speeding up actually means, at least some of it has been possible longer than this topic has existed.

Actions window has Import/export button, bottom left. Preferences/General has Import and Export Configuration buttons. User can select what parts to export/import from the configuration packages.
