CC LFO is BACK! And with presets and more features! Very nice!
By the way I think it may need to have a "Commit" option just like Quantize dialog, because currently if you quickly flip between "Time selection" and "Entire item" then back to "Time selection", it destroys your existing CC data completely. Not nice.
Also it should work across all editable items in "Entire item" mode. Maybe rename that mode to "All editable items", then?
Regarding program names in arrange on MIDI items, the font is truncated at the bottom...?

Another great update, it just keeps coming!
I take it this is just placeholder graphics:
until WT finishes the graphics for the midi/media explorer.

These actions, which usually work on all MIDI editor windows I've tried them, don't work with LFO dialog for some reason:
Code:
SWS/BR: Move active floating window to mouse cursor (horizontal: middle, vertical: top)

Media item edge, left drag context.
If you have custom menus, note colormap actions won't be removed from them. But the actions themselves are not there anymore in the a ction list.

Any chance we could get the option to add, subtract, multiply the LFO with existing CC data? Would be cool if we had that same functionality for AIs too.

Oh cool, thanks! I thought it was about project loop edges.
No custom menus for sure, this version is clean.

And so it is!! Thanks a million you guys are the best!!! This feature will enhance the editing in reaper a lot, it’s like the painting feature in FL but way better!
While you ‘re at it would it be possible for another modifier that would allow us to change only the looped item positions inside the item and not the item length? This could be useful if we want to loop in a specific area without changing the item length if there’s another item next to it.
Thanks again and for the automation item updates!

I actually really like this little feature. In this example, the recorded hit is less than one beat, but using the modifier you can loop it on the beat, and then also change the looped length without stretching.
Unfortunately the feature will be a bit hidden, because the default mouse modifiers for media item edge are aready allocated for all standard key combinations.

Yeah it's pretty cool indeed!
And yeah, being able to change the loop source boundary with mouse dragging would also be cool! We can already do it in MIDI editor, so why not in the arrange as well? MIDI source loop end marker. Should just be Media item/MIDI source loop end marker?

LFO editor in midi CC lanes is very cool! Cheers.
Regarding these HiDPI improvements - I just wanted to re-raise a couple of minor issues I'm seeing here (running Win10, one 4k screen and one 1080p, OS scaling at 150% for the 4k screen, 100% for the 1080, using multimonitor aware mode in Reaper) -
The mouse cursor is not being scaled, it's way too small. This is frustrating when trying to grab item edge points or anything else fiddly.
Tooltips are oversized on the second (1080p) monitor, seems like they are being scaled up even on the 1080 screen.
Melodyne UI is not scaling up when used within Reaper via ARA, it's not a melodyne issue as it scales in other DAW's.
Cheers!

That's what the gif shows, the final drag is making the loop length shorter or longer.

I LOVE this feature , I ve made a request also few days ago about it and I couldn’t believe when I saw it
Also if we could have another modifier to change the length of the looped sections as it is now but without changing the whole item length, it would be even more flexible for some circumstances, like when there is another item next to it and we don't want to overlap it so we want to keep the item length untouched and change only the length of the looped sections.
I hope it won’t be hidden for too long Maybe another context for media item edge bottom half would help to split actions in two parts . E.g the upper half for stretching and the bottom half for looping. Thanks!
EDIT: this is what i meant above to change the looped sections length without changing the whole item length, just as we can do it with midi items:

Yes! This release fixed all the issues I was having with the prior versions of 6!
For some reason, when I had MIDI editor, or Mixer maximized on my OSX 10.14.1 it will cause a loooot of lag. But now it is all good

On Initial usage the loop indicator and WAV data aren't drawn while moving like you're showing, but on second usage it does draw.
EDIT, Never mind, it works, me just confused as usual!

Since you're not grabbing the right hand edge of the existing content, you're actually resetting the length of a single loop to the media item edge in that edit.

I am with you here. I was trying to find a commit option. And as soon as I switched to entire item the whole thing gets destroyed. Not fun

Moving item content in a looped item without moving loop start and end would also be great.

I thought my eyes were changing because it was becoming difficult for me to read the text in the midi CC lanes.
But going back to an earlier version it became apparent that it wasn't my eyes it was the change in the font, as you can see in this picture. The top picture is the way it appears in
Reaper, and as you can see in the bottom exaggerated picture, the font is different and harder to see.

There's so many gazillion modifiers and ways to grab or click certain area of item these days, that it would be the most amazing feature if by hovering on top of an item area and pressing down a some of attached key modifiers a tooltip would jump above the cursor that tells you exactly what action you're going to perform if you click or drag now...
A huge help for usability. ;D

Update!
I actually had mistakenly installed the 32 bit version of the prerelease. Interestingly, this one doesn't stutter when maximizing MIDI editor or mixer.
However, 64bit version has the same issues I have been having ever since the first 6 version release.
I made screen recording of the issue:
https://cl.ly/3c5fa86f5de1
I just tested side by side with portable installs of 32bit and 64bit.
32bit version is smooth and works great.
64bit stutters and lags when maximizing MIDI Editor and Mixer.
I am running a Mid 2015 15" MacBook Pro with OSX 10.14.1.
What's going on

Ah! I meant dragging the loop source boundary itself to adjust it, instead of item edge. Just like you can do in MIDI editor
EDIT: Vagalume showed it!

The font is exactly the same, but its placement is closer to the event in R6, which makes it harder to see. Yep, needs adjusting.

R6 font seems to be without antialiasing. It is same font type, but without AA, so it looks different and harder to read.

Does anyone know if the splash image is going to be also upgraded to retina? It's a bit weird to see it low-res on my macbook pro and then launching the new super-crisp version of Reaper.

But it exists already under TCP - just in between TCP and transport you right-click and select 'Show mouse editing help'. It's a shame it applies to items and envelope lanes only - would be nice if it worked with MIDI editor (docked MIDI editor allows you to see it), TCP and Mixer too.

Bug in V6:
Using non default thme, it seems that Main toolbar icon have different background opacity than the other toolbar.
Look how the toolbar on top activated icons are brighter than the one on main toolbar.
This wasn't in reaper v5 and isn't related to the theme itself (as all toolbar look for the same button icons).

I've tested a bit more the new loop source function and i think it needs some improvement when we choose a new length to loop because it seems that it doesn't reset the previous loop length as shown in the next gif: the first time is normal, second time too, third time i change the loop length but it doesn't start to loop from the new length.
Also the advantage of changing only the length of the looped sections as we can do with midi by dragging the markers, and not the whole item length, is that if we split the item we can have individual looped lengths as shown in the next gif:
To me it would be great to keep the edge modifier to adjust the new loop length for the item and the markers to change the looped sections length inside the audio item
(If not with markers, maybe by dragging those triangles that show where the looped sections start on the audio item)
