Default Where to put laptop and interface?

The laptop is not heavy. The interface is a 2 channel Behringer (not big)
I bought a hardware synth but didn't like it. I'm sending it back. I'm going back to taking the laptop to gigs.
I need some kind of portable table to place the laptop and the interface.
I'm sad because any hardware synth I can afford sounds inferior to virtual instuments.
Any ideas for little tables or something?

First, I gather that you play keyboard. So... I would look at what existing setup you have (Keyboard stand) and see how you could incorporate the laptop into it. another thought may be to use a Mic stand with a custom base mounted on the top, that would hold your LT & interface.

Could you post some pictures of what you have so that someone may give some other ideas?

Also a keyboarder here, I use this extension for the keyboard stand (there are others for other brands), put a fitting wooden board with a glued 'end strip' on it (so the laptop doesn't slip down), also has space for my interface and controller.

Whole setup might seem a bit instable, but worked fine for me so far.
(I've been gigging a couple of years with this setup.)

I had a similar problem, so I asked the Reaper forums just as you did. In case you want to take a look, here it is.
