But the underpinnings to editing HD video in Reaper are way more solid than many vaunted apps that are EXPLICITLY INTENDED as video editors! I have a couple of churches that are regular clients (people that know me find that hilarious, but these days, a gigs a gig ducky!) and I'm charged with editing 4-5 camera shoots for their "virtual services". I've been using Telestream "Screenflow" (I run a 2012 Mac Pro cheesegrater with dual Xeon 5680 procs and 96 gig of ram) and this app becomes a cludge when I load it up. I pulled all the video in (about 50 gigs worth across 5 cameras) and the audio 2-mix (1 gig 16-48) and Reaper 6.13 runs smooth as butter! Now I really want Reaper love thrown at the tools and a few niceties. These assignments I'm currently doing require simple cuts, so the basic tool kit is fine, but I want to use this more...so give us more!!! (Pretty please...)

I'm doing church videos like you, but video editing in Camtasia and then exporting all the individual audios to Reaper, tweaking it there, and doing the final join in one tool or the other. It would be so much easier to do it all in one tool. Today for example, an 18 part choir and I have one person's lips out of sync with what he's singing so it's back and forth between tools trying to realign. We should compare notes (some pun intended).
