Default Blinking Yellow Transport

Forum,
I've got a track that has a lot of delay on the guitars. And after
a while is seems that the processing can't keep up and it slows down
in a garbled sound of yellow blinking transport. Is this a case where
I need to be doing a higher level function that I don't do yet like "printing
the effects"? Or is it a buffer size thing? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Let me know if you need anymore info to assess the situation.
Your fellow recording artist,
Dirapti

Default Dolby

I'll go in hard style here and close project when it happens. Hopefully someone here can help me understand some of these things.

I can't give you a definitive answer, but seeing as nobody else has either, maybe a couple of clues?

Have you tried opening the Performance Monitor to see if your CPU is being stressed at all?

Also enable options to view longest block processing time.

You are using ASIO drivers? You could try Prefs, Audio, Device and see if setting block size to 256 helps.

Not saying it will necessarily ... just maybe worth trying?

Normally I'd guess that this is a sample rate mismatch, which you could fix in project settings. But then you'd have more trouble with the audio I think. Not sure though, maybe some of the data isn't processed right
