Default How to change the midi channel of a midi message in Reaper?

My problem: When playing into Reaper from my piano-like midi controller, which outputs on midi channel 1, I would like to change the midi channel "on the fly" within Reaper using the Behringer FCB1010 midi foot controller - for example like this:

I press foot pedal 4 on FCB1010 => It outputs midi cc 16 with value 4 => the "JS Midi Tool" in Reaper notices this and changes its Midi Output channel into 4.

Thus "JS Midi tool" would convert my piano playing from midi channel 1 into midi channel 4, on the fly.

When I try to use Reaper's Param - Learn functionality to teach "JS Midi Tool" to behave like this - I get it only to switch between channels 1 and 2. I haven't been able to figure out how to teach it to understand that cc value 4 means channel 4 etc.

How should I do this?

Default

I found a workaround: automating the "Output Channel" with "JS: MIDI Router/Transpose" works -
although automating the same dropdown with with "JS: Midi Tool" does not work.
Probably a bug...
