Default Send a MIDI Start command every time I hit 'Play'

I just got the Korg Triton Extreme VST. It's amazing for songwriting - especially the COMBIs. I also have the hardware Extreme, but the VST sounds true to the original and it is much easier to integrate into my workflow.

But... I can't find a way to properly synchronize the COMBI patches when there is an arpeggiator. This is a 'must' for recording, or it will sound different every time it is played back.

Each arpeggiator (per patch) has a "KEY SYNC" option:

Unselected: The arp syncs to Reaper's MIDI clock, but it is 'free running.' When you play a note, the sound plays based on the current position of the arp sequencer . So if you repeatedly play a single MIDI note, it will sound different each time.

Selected: It will reset the arps each time you play a note (that is, anytime you press a key when no other keys are currently pressed - it will maintain the timing as long as you are constantly holding down at least one key). This is closer to what I need, but these settings are per-patch, there is no Global setting. Changing arp settings patch-by-patch is not an option.

The hardware manual for the Extreme explains what I need: If you send a MIDI Start command to the sequencer, it will reset the arp before it starts to play.

So... Is there any way for Reaper to send a MIDI Start command whenever Reaper starts to Play or Record?

I'm assuming this will work for the VST the same way it works for the hardware synth, but the VST manual is pretty thin.

Are there any other genius ideas for how to make this work?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
