Default Rhumba for the Queen

An old track with new words.
It was an attempt to do something different .. for me at least
just a bit of fun but probably needs mixing attention

https://soundcloud.com/jinglythings/.../s-eCQXvEGvZMr

I don't sing so well so.....
Comment on the mix if you have the time and inclination and/or if you end up swaying a bit...

Perfect atmosphere....I can see the Queen, along with Harry & Charles & Meghan & Kate and all the rest, snaking through the palace halls in a winding rhumba line, blue & yellow birthday cake all over their faces.

You kept it appropriately subdued beginning to end, including the easygoing vocal overlay. Wondering what you used for horns....sax was a little iffy, but the trumpet was very nice & quite genuine, IMO.

And BTW, I'm thinking you're the one celebrating a golden anniversary this year.....if so, may you rhumba round & round all night long.

Wish we had a queen over here....a state figure we could poke fun at, without it devolving into political nastiness...

Rhumba LINE???? I that only the conga ever had a "line".

Mind you, it does offer a very wierd image of the Royal Family doing a conga line...

They pretty much must have over the years, however sedate they generally appear to be.

In any case, the whole Royals setup does seem to be slowly but surely crumbling away these days. I dread Charles ever becoming King.

wow! thank you for your comments!

@ stinger, the horns were NI session horns alto sax and muted trumpet, more or less straight out of the box with about 40% humanization and a tad of attention to velocity with the trumpet. Oh and a bit of -JS Time Adjustment Delay for both.
For the trumpet I put it in room A then added just a touch of NI RC48.
Can you tell me what you meant by what was "iffy" about the sax?

Golden is next year although my wife has a slightly different view......what made you say that !! lol

@ Garrick, well!, there's no accounting for taste! I used to sing a lot 50 years ago but my voice is so inconsistent now. I think this was a bit outside my (narrow)range.

@ ivansc, you can line dance to anything, rhumba just needs a bit of flexibility I no longer have

Guess I don't spend enough time in Latin bars. Rhumba, conga, mambo, samba, what the hell....get in line behind me & start the music. We'll just call it a Love Train.
