Default Use images in video? How to get rid of the gaps??

2 major problems:
1) Media Explorer doesn't even recognize images, so dropping an image file into a track can't be done within Reaper. Clumsy!!!!!!
2) All images have to be the same size AND the same resolution.

If these conditions aren't met, then there's a black gap in the video, between those "incompatible" images.

Please consider making Reaper more image-friendly".

Remember: We are musicians - not videographers.
Most of use don't have go-pros, but we all have cameras.

Any thoughts?

I guess this is about the gaps you mentioned here?
If so, have you tried this?

In the Media Explorer, you can enable Show > All files, to make image files appear. IIRC, image files cannot be inserted by double-clicking on them (I don't know why), but you can drag and drop them into a track.
