Default DubTurbo - impressive free VSTis and sounds

just stumbled over this website. Anybody tried their free VSTi? Seems pretty much worth it!

check out the demo video of Samploid2:

Nobody seems very impressed by their "DAW" so far though.... We shall see.

haven't looked into their daw yet. But I've been quite impressed by the VSTis, especially Samploid2.

well he talks even faster than Kenny [ ] but what's not to love about the generous attitude?

seem to be all 32 bit for now... too bad, but hey... what a great find for a lot of people just starting out and in need of free toys...

Thanks for pointing it out.

Agreed! The FX are pretty good, so I will be hanging onto them for when I use 32bit.

I just find it interesting that they went from being a spam/scam company to trying to be legitimate player.
There's a great article about it on bedroomproducersblog.com.....
I think these are all synthmaker based ?

But its a step in the right direction.

I didn't know anything about the history of the developers. Could you point to some sources where I can get more info about this?

In the meantime, I played with Samploid and got some cool sounds out of it. I must admit that I don't find it so easy to manipulate.

However, what really irritated me is that I didn't find a way to save my work with Samploid in Reaper. After reopening a project, Samploid had lost the start/end offset settings for the sample. I had worked on a really cool pad sound resulting from a very short loop inside a longer drum sample. On reload, the boundaries where reset to full sample length and obviously it was impossible to manually restore the exact same looping area from the long sample to restore my original pad sound.

So for now it seems that you cannot save your work and only play around with this instrument. Or maybe I overlooked something ...
